Wednesday 3rd November

Scottish League Cup Quarter Final

Hibernian 2 - 0 Motherwell Hibernian cruised into the semi finals with a fine win over Motherwell at Easter Road. James McCarthy opened the scoring on the 38th minute to put Hibs 1-0 up. James Brown rounded off a fine game with a goal deep into injury time.

Thursday 4th November

Scottish League Cup Semi Final Draw Hibernian – Hearts Rangers – Celtic

Hibernian drew Hearts today in the League Cup semi final. Hibernian meet Hearts in the final of the League Cup last season but were defeated 2-1 after extra time. Hibernian fans will be hoping for revenge this time around.

Saturday 6th November

Falkirk 0 – 2 Celtic Hearts 4 – 4 St. Johnstone Inverness CT 1 – 0 Aberdeen Motherwell 4 – 0 Morton Rangers 5 – 1 St. Mirren

Sunday 7th November

Kilmarnock 1 - 0 Hibernian Kilmarnock battled their way to a hard fought 1-0 victory over Hibernian. Paul Gallagher seized on an error by Kevin McCann to score a real poacher’s effort in 4 minutes. It was a bad afternoon all round for Hibs as they lost both James Brown and Derek Riordan to injury.

Wednesday 10th November

Celtic defeated Zilina 3-0 away from home to move them top of group D after Manchester Utd and Juventus drew 00. With only two games to go Celtic look in good shape to qualify.

Thursday 11th November

Hibernian striker Garry O’Connor was a surprise call up to the Scotland national side today. O’Connor hasn’t been selected since he was dropped from the squad in August 2008. James McCarthy has also been called up to the Ireland side. McCarthy has been in fine form for Hibs this season.

Saturday 13th November

Celtic 1 - 0 Hibernian Celtic enjoyed much of the possession as they dominated Hibernian at Celtic Park this afternoon. Aiden McGeady scored a spectacular long range effort to score the only goal of the game. Hibernian rarely threatened in the game and were lucky not to have conceded more goals.

Hearts 4 – 2 St. Mirren

Inverness CT 1 – 1 St. Johnstone Kilmarnock 3 – 0 Morton

Tuesday 18th November

Sky Sports today understands that Coventry midfielder Guillaume Beuzelin has been told he is not part of manager Steve Tilsons plans. Former club Hibernian and French side Racing Club de Strasbourg are both believed to be interested in the player.

Saturday 20th November

Hibernian 1- 0 Falkirk Hibernian manager Jamie Macnab celebrated his birthday with a win for his team. Hibernian controlled the play for most of the game after Derek Riordan had given them the lead after only 5 minutes gone. Midfielder Zemmama stole the show with some excellent close control that dazzled the crowd at Easter Road and baffled the Falkirk players.

Wednesday 24th November

Hibernian were dealt a blow today with the news that Ian Murray will be out for up to 4 weeks with a damaged foot.

Scotland lost tonight against Slovenia 2-0. Both goals came in the first 25 minutes of the match. Despite the defeat Scotland still top group D.

Saturday 26th November

Hibernian 1 - 0 Morton Hibernian fans left Easter Road wondering how their team didn’t score more goals today. Riordan, Brown, Commons and Zemmama all came close but couldn’t score the vital goal but in the 78th minute Hibs captain Rob Jones powered home a header for his for goal of the season.

Monday 29th November

More bad news for Hibs today as both Kris Commons and Kevin McCann have been sidelined for 7 – 10 days with injuries.

Falkirk 1 – 1 Hearts

Tuesday 30th November

Celtic were soundly beaten in Italy by a rampant Juventus side. The Glasgow team went down 4 – 0 with Juventus ending the match with 2 players having been sent off. With Celtic losing and Manchester Utd winning 5-0 at home, Celtic slip to 3rd in the group with just one game remaining.
