_____/_____25 points. OBJECTIVES: solving the problem
I have created a watercolor painting that shows 4-5 mannequins together to illustrate a simple motion or action. My action is clearly illustrated in my arrangement of my figures. I have included a simple object in my composition, and/or painted my background environment to help clarify what my action is.

_____/_____25 points. STUDIO SKILLS: studio processes and procedures
I have drawn each of the mannequin poses from direct observation. I avoided drawing from schema at all times. Each of my figures has correct proportions. The parts of the body all appear to naturally belong together. I have planned a color scheme that uses analogous (similar) colors to help unify my figures together. I avoided using raw colors, (straight blue, red, yellow, etc. from the watercolor trays). I used a palette for mixing all my colors, and did not mix my colors on the painting itself. I have carefully used a paintbrush to neatly paint all areas of my painting. I have used different color values to make highlights and shadows on my figures. This makes my figures look like they have form, or appear 3D.

_____/_____25 points. DESIGN: how you solved the problem as an artist
I planned a color scheme before I began my painting. My color scheme uses analogous (similar) colors to help unify my composition. I have avoided making a rainbow painting. I have used at least one complementary color (opposite from my color scheme) to effectively emphasize an important figure, or element in my final painting. I have overlapped at least 3 of my figures, so they appear to be in front or behind one another. I touch and go off the edges of at least two sides in my final composition. I have included a zoomed-in pose of one of my figures in my final composition

_____/_____25 points. PRESENTATION: craftsmanship of the final product
All areas of my painting have been handled with care, there are no rushed or unconsidered areas. I have kept the edges of my shapes sharp and clean by carefully using my paintbrush. I have used larger brushes in larger areas, and smaller brushes for more detailed areas. I have carefully stored my painting on the drying rack to protect its overall appearance. I have used all painting materials/techniques carefully to avoid unwanted spills, splotches, or other distracting elements. My final painting is free of any unwanted dirt or paint marks, and has not been torn, bent, or mangled. I have signed and dated my completed painting on the back of the paper.
