English 105 Project 2: Create Your Own Fake Company!

The Basics: - In groups ranging in size from one person to three, create your own fake company. - You get to decide on much of the details, but essentially, it has to be more than a lemonade stand. - The more employees you pretend to have, the more situations you will be able to make up for the in-class activities we will have later on in these 8-weeks. - Much of the company details (letterhead, logo, name, etc) can be changed and revised as you go along. - For the first day, however, you will need to brainstorm A LOT and figure out much of the following: a. Name of company? b. How many employees? c. What will you sell? Or what will be your service to customers? d. Where are you located? Are you online? Do you have a catalog? e. Who are your customers? (demographics – average customer?) f. Mission statement From there, create the following documents by the end of the 8-weeks (these items will be in your presentation): a) The Fake Company Logo b) The Fake Company Motto c) The Fake Company Letterhead d) The Fake Company Business Card e) The Fake Company Mission Statement f) The Fake Company Advertisement g) The Fake Company Pie Charts of Expenses and Income h) The Fake Company Job Description/Advertisement (an ad your company would put in the paper in order to find another employee)
