To: The Secretary-General of the .......... National Commission for.......... It is very much pleasure to write this letter in supporting Ms........................, a young lecturer in the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology, Naresuan University. The university has served for higher education in the lower north region of Thailand, which includes nine provinces. The region is full of natural resources covering conserved national parks, including one of the world heritages, wildlife sanctuary, waterfalls, forests, and mountains. It is in the close proximity to Myanmar, Lao, and China. Established in 1993, the department is among Thai youngest academic institutes for Microbiology that has produced around 200 graduates in Microbiology. Biotechnology is essential and valuable branch of studies, however, the department expertise in the field remains to be developed. Ms...........who had studied this field for her master degree from..... University, Thailand, has been engaged in teaching in the department since graduation. To revitalize and strengthen her research skill enough for her to be able to create her own research studies in the future, a postgraduate training course would be taken. She is self-motivated and full of inspiration. She is also a kind of persons that everyone would enjoy to work with, as she is sociably friendly and highly responsible. As the chief of the department and also her colleague for almost 4 years, I hence firmly believe that she would do very well in any training laboratory settling and in the course she is applying. The course will be very fruitful and certainly make a good impact not only to herself and her students, but also the regional community in general. She will be a potential human resource who is capable of transferring the knowledge and applying it to transform the natural resources into the benefit of mankind. I strongly believe that the state-of-the-art in the field will improve the microeconomic and consequently standard of living of the village people as we have seen it in the use of microorganisms in the fermented food in the one-tambol-one-product (OTOP) project.
