RULES FOR ECSTASY 2019 General INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Judges’ decision will be final and binding in all events. 2. All the participants and accompanists must have their identity card of their respective institute at the time of participation. 3. Information regarding the events will be available at the Help Desks at the event. 4. All the participants are requested to be on time for the events. 5. Certificates of participation will be given to all the participants. 6. Attractive prizes for winners in some of the events.

1. IPL Bidding  Team based event consisting of three participants in each team. Teams have to bid for the best IPL team within a given amount of money.  Round 1-Prelims (15 minutes) - It will contain 15 questions related to IPL (10 questions of 1 mark each+5 star questions of 3 mark each)  Round 2  Following rules apply in case of IPL teams and their composition  5 teams from round 1 come forward to buy IPL teams  Each team will be provided with some virtual money, which can be considered as the individual team budget. Teams will have to bid for teams & players and buy them.  AT ANY MOMENT OF GAME, team crossing the stipulated budget stand to be disqualified.  Players are categorized. so by the auction ,the structure of the team should look like  2 Batsmen  2 Bowlers  1 All rounder  1 wicket keeper  2-player of choice of any category  -i.e. team of 8 players need to be made  The number of foreign players in a team cannot exceed 4  Teams not satisfying the mandatory as above will also be disqualified  The players list and grades of players will be revealed only at the auction table.  Teams are expected to maintain discipline and only members should go for the bid strictly.  Points structure  Team  Grade A- 50 points  Grade B- 30 points  Grade C- 20 points  Batsmen/Bowler/All Rounder/wicketkeeper  Grade A-15 points  Grade B- 10 points



Grade C- 05 points

2. Ready your Bow And Arrow (GULLY CRICKET!)  Number of participants per team: 6  Five overs per team with a mandatory wicket keeper  Ball falling out of the marked playing area is OUT  Ball falling inside the outer circle directly is a SIX and the grounded one is a FOUR  Registration fee: Rs. 300/- per team  All students must come with their valid ID cards. 3. Be Where the Clue IS! (TREASURE hunt)  Number of participants: Minimum: 2 Maximum: 5  Hidden clues for the treasure to be found in the shortest time  The Treasure Hunt consists of 4-5 clues, each one leading to the next clue. Each correctly solved clue carries 10 points. And final Treasure carries 50 points.  The clues are to be found in a particular order. Teams should pick up only 1 copy of the clue from each location and team cannot skip a clue. Skipping a clue leads to disqualification of the team.  Team members must stay together.  Disqualification: Any team trying to physically obstruct the hunt of other teams  Outside help is not allowed during treasure hunt  You move any object to search the clue, kindly replace it back.  All the clues of the teams are different and located at different places but the final destination i.e. the treasure is same. The team which finds the treasure wins first. 4. Words Worth! (DEBATE COMPETITION: ENGLISH )     

Number of Participants: A team of 2 members: 1 in favour and 1 against the motion Duration: 4-5 minutes per team (including For and Against) Negative marks for exceeding the time limit Topics will be informed on 22nd Feb 2019 Following would be the judging criteria:  Organization and Clarity: viewpoints and responses are outlined both clearly and orderly.  Use of Arguments: reasons are given to support viewpoint.  Use of Examples and Facts: examples and facts are given to support reasons, with references  Use of Rebuttal: arguments made by the other teams are responded to and dealt with effectively.



Presentation Style: tone of voice, use of gestures, and level of enthusiasm are convincing to audience.

5. Slice of Life! (STREET PLAY)  Language of the Play: Teams can use English / Hindi as the language of their play.  From each college, team comprising of minimum 6 and maximum 20 participants shall be allowed.  Time Limit: Teams should restrict their play in 15mins (12+3) time. First warning bell will be given after 12mins and final warning bell after 15mins. There will be negative marking if teams exceed the performance time (-2 FOR EVERY MINUTE)  The Competition will be conducted in an open place and hence no microphones, Speakers will be allowed or available. Teams can sing / dance by themselves to create the necessary music or sound.  Teams using any props / CHUNI / Dressing must bring all their requirements and must be ready well in time as per instructions of the organizer. No Props or costume or any material will be provided by the host college.  Teams should decency and decorum in the behavior, attire and performance.  All participants must report at the venue at least one hour prior the commencement of the event.  Criteria for marking  Creativity (10 Marks);  Humor (10 Marks);  Clarity of Message (10 Marks);  Props (05 Marks);  Costume / Dressing (05 Marks);  Team Work (10 Marks )  Total: 50 Marks 6. Somewhere Over The Rainbow! (RANGOLI MAKING)  Number of participants: Minimum: 1 Maximum: 3  Time limit: 1hr 30 mins  Negative marks for exceeding the time limit  Participants must bring their own material  Use of any kind of tools, gadgets, pictures, etc. is prohibited.  The organizing committee reserves the right to disallow any participant from competition if he/she does not comply with rules and regulations of the competition.  There will be only one round of competition  Participants will be provided marked space (Approximately 2.5 square feet)  Following would be the judging criteria:  Originality  Colour Coordination

 Cleanliness  Intricacy of design of Rangoli  Overall Presentation 7. Sing Out Loud! (SOLO SINGING)  Individual participation  Maximum of 2 accompanists allowed  Time Limit: 4+ 2 minutes  Negative marks for exceeding the time limit  Judgment will be based on quality of singing, rhythm, range and melody  Participant must bring instrument or instrumental music with self to perform.  Following would be the judging criteria:  authenticity,  theme,  clarity of words,  harmony,  tune,  rhythm,  expression,  discipline,  timing and presentation  After 6 minutes the participant will be declared disqualified 8. Take The Mic! (group Singing)  Number of participants: Minimum: 6 Maximum: 12  Maximum of 4 accompanists allowed  Time Limit: 6 + 2 minutes  Negative marks for exceeding the time limit  Judgment will be based on  quality of singing,  coordination and not on makeup,  costume or  actions of the team.  Recorded vocals are not allowed. 9. Listen To My Feet! (SOLO dance)  Number of participants: 1 per team  Time limit: 6-8 minutes  Negative marks for exceeding the time limit  Props: to be arranged by the participants  CDs/Pen drives should be properly tagged with the participant name  Judgment will be based on rhythm, synchronization, expressions, costumes and overall presentation

10. Join The Crew! (GROUP dance)  Number of participants: Minimum: 7 Maximum : 12  Time limit: 8-10 minutes  Negative marks for exceeding the time limit  All dance forms are allowed.  Props: to be arranged by the participants  CDs/Pen drives should be properly tagged with the participant name.  Judgment will be based on rhythm, formation, synchronization, expressions, costumes and overall presentation  Disqualification: Use of fire, inflammable objects or glass shatter on stage 11. MR. AND Ms. Ecstasy 2019  A team of 2 participants: 1 girl for Ms. Ecstasy and 1 boy for Mr. Ecstasy  Rounds of competition: 1. Introduction and Ramp Walk 2. Talent 3. Question-Answer  Talent Round will be the elimination round and each participant will be given 3 minutes to showcase his/her talent.  Negative marks for exceeding the time limit  Participants are required to carry their own CDs, costumes, etc. 12. Photography Copyright: The copyright in all images submitted to the Competition will remain with the owner who will be credited. Each entrant grants to the Organizers a license to use their images in relation to the Competition and the Exhibition, if required.  It will be a On the Spot Photography Event  There must not be any watermarks, copyright marks or any text/graphic on the picture.  Please limit your adjustment to minor changes of cropping, sharpening and contrast. Avoid significant over or under color saturation. Dodging (to brighten shadows) or burning (to darken highlights) is allowed, but the alterations should enable the photograph to closely resemble what you see. Please avoid any extensive manipulation.  The participant should be ready with the original image when asked upon by the organisers.  The minimum resolution of the pictures should be 2000 pixels on the shorter side. However, images should not exceed 20 MB in size.  The photo should not have been previously entered in any competition/exhibition  Plagiarism should be strictly avoided and such photographs shall be immediately disqualified from the competition  The picture should be saved as " Participant's College_Participant's Name.jpeg "

13. Smart Phone Film Festival    

Films must not be longer than 15 minutes (including titles or credit sequence) Any software can be used to edit the video and audio as well as color correction or special effects is allowed. The film must be an original production. It may not infringe on the copyright, trademark or other rights of any organisation. The film should not contain any vulgarity, offensive or absurd language

14. Shayarana Andaaz! (Sher-o-Shayari)  Individual participation  Maximum of 1 accompanists allowed  Language : hindi/urdu  Maximum time: 3 + 1 minutes  Language used Hindi/ Urdu  Judgment will be based on originality of poetry, rhythm, range and melody. It is essential to declare the name of the poet in case the participant is not reciting original composition.  Recorded vocals are not allowed.  Negative marks for exceeding the time limit
