Eurolinks Diary after Črnomelj meeting (Črnomelj) Nace Mirosavljevič I was in the bread- making group, and it was very boring…I was sitting there all morning, doing almost nothing… but it was very fun, when we went to Piran and to Ljubljana… I had a really good time, especially in Ljubljana Don't know what else to write… sorry (again) Jernej Strmec I've done a song about Eurolinks. I've learnt some new things about Sweden and Belgium. I was good at leading the group, they did everything I told them. I had no problems. I appreciated kindness of our visitors. I want to ask all the guests if they enjoyed. I will improve my understanding of European onions. SAMO KRALJ I' ve done a lot of interesting things, like making a song about Eurolinks. I' ve learnt about other culture. I was good at making new friends. I had problems with going home with our visitors. I appreciated kindness of our visitors. I want to ask about their feelings about Slovenia. I will improve my understanding of European countries and their people. SAŠKA KOČEVAR That week was really tiring for me. I have done many things to help our guests feel good. I was also the leader of our group where we were making Easter eggs and napkins. So I had to take care of all group that no one got lost. I have learnt that teachers have a very exhausting job to do. Teenagers are very moody. I think that I was good in helping everyone to get into the correct classroom and so on. I had problems only with using the right words. I think that this is what I have to improve. I have to learn a few words more. I was very happy that we had such a sunny and warm weather on Wednesday what made an unforgettable excursion. I really appreciate that. I want to ask all students what they think about our country and all projects in Slovenia. I think that I will never forget my participating in Comenius project which gave me a lot of information about how my mates in different parts of EU live. We are very different but we have also many common habits. DAVID ZAJC I think that we have done the most exciting things in Slovenia. Here was the best. While I was leading the backing group I had no problems with other guys/girls. Sometimes I had to translate some questions to the cook that helped us. I had some problems with Nace because he didn't want to do anything. He was just sitting around and eating ham and cheese. I've learnt how to make pogača. I saw the students were really happy here and they enjoyed being here. The parties were cool with them.
MATIJA PUPIČ In my fatherland of Slovenia I’ve learnt almost nothing new. I spent most of my time in school’s bombing shelter playing my guitar. I had problems with holding the laugh when I saw Swedish guys. At first I thought I was at a gay pride parade then someone told me they were mostly straight. I was in the music group and had problems with the thought of performing in public. Fortunately I didn’t have to perform! I also had some problems with foreigners who got drunk after drinking two beers. SILVO CERAR I ‘ve done lot of interesting things like backing traditional Slovenian food ‘belokranjska pogača’. I’ve learnt backing belokranjska pogača….not. I was good at drinking beer as always I had problems wit rain. I appreciated that there wasn’t any rain on Wednesday. I want to go to Sweden when I have enough money and a driving licence. I will improve knowledge of backing any kind of food URŠKA BANOVEC I think I've done all I could for two Czech girls that were my guests. We prepared some special Slovenian meals. We offered them everything to feel at home. I've learnt some new Czech words and in our workshop how to dance traditional dances of Bela krajina. I appreciated and was proud of all we could have shown them our country. We also had fun in the evening in pubs and I specially liked our party on Thursday. Martina Rupčič Finally came the last meeting, in Slovenia. On Monday came all the guests. In our school we had a short reception. I think that we had a great time. All were very kind, compassionate. There weren't any problems. Thank you for visiting our country, I hope you liked it. You are always welcome here. You are expected during the summer. ;) I hope to see you soon. Nika S. (SLO) … the final meeting I think it was great. Well, for me as a host it was a bit stressful, and besides that I didn’t sleep much, but it was really fun and I regret nothing. Belgians stayed at my place and they were very nice and friendly and they were joking all the time so it was never boring with them. I hope I’ll be able to see them again ... :D I was in “dancing group” and I have to confess that it was interesting watching other nations dancing our national dances. I think they did a good job, even though we were a bit confused and we did a few mistakes when we had to present them.
During the meeting we also went to see Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, Postojna cave and the town Piran. Well, it wasn't such interesting for me, because I've seen those things before, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it – I liked it very much, because it was relaxing and the weather was very nice that day :) Well, so many things happened that I couldn't even remember all of them right now. Oh, the farewell dinner, of course: I think it was .. awesome. Even the teachers were dancing! I think (and hope) that everyone liked it. I'm sad because everyone had to leave. There's so many things we could do together … But, on the other hand, we might see each other again, so: we have something to look forward to :) (And we still have MSN and Facebook and things like that to communicate with. :)) So, the project is over. I think we should be thankful because we've had an opportunity to participate in it. I wish you great life, full of happiness. It was great to meet you all. And for those who I'll meet again: see you soon :P Adijo. Bye-bye!
