Eurolinks Diary after Merksem meeting (Črnomelj) Nace Mirosavljevič It was very hard for me to stay in Belgium for so much time. Why? Simply because I didn't like it there. Talking about the advantages of the EU was really lame, because I don't believe in any of this… The only good thing about Belgium was, that there was a lot of free time, so we were able to visit each and every pub. We had a very god time visiting pubs, especially the Irish one. Belgium is a very expensive country. And that is not good, because, the last day, when we were going home I was out of money. There is nothing more to be told about Belgium…. I'm sorry but I simply can't remember… it was such a long time ago Jernej Strmec I've done a lot of things. I've learnt almost nothing new. I was good at making friends. I had problems with expensive beer and lack of money. I appreciated hospitality of my Belgian host. I will improve my English by talking to the friends I have met. SAMO KRALJ I' ve done a lot of interesting things, like eating typical Belgium food, cycling. I' ve learnt about Belgium culture. I was good at making new friends. I had problems with a lack of money, because things are much more expensive there. I appreciated hospitality of my Belgian host. I want to ask about beautiful Belgian nature. I will improve my understanding of European countries and their people DAVID ZAJC In Belgium I've done a lot of things, but I didn't liked the work shops. They were all too similar. I've learnt some new words. I was good at drinking but the beer is really expensive…..so the only problem that I had was that I ran out of money already on Wednesday. I appreciate the hospitality of my host family. They were really great. I'll improve my knowledge of English and that's all. MATIJA PUPIČ I’ve done a lot of interesting things while i was staying in Belgium like getting lost in Antwerp or going to all kinds of places(bars)…there were also boring things like the presentations and working in international groups. I had problems with shower at Mr. Hufkens’s house (hot and cold water) I appreciated his family’s hospitality. I want to improve my vocabulary because it was giving me some trouble. I would like to ask Belgian folks why their beer suck so badly? Union rocks
SILVO CERAR I’ve done a lot of interesting thinks like watching others how they are working on the project I’ve learnt that beer in Belgium is very expensive. I was good at drinking beer. I had problems with money because I ran out of money first two days, so I had to go to bank I appreciated the hospitality of my host family. I will improve my English. URŠKA BANOVEC I've done the presentation of Slovenian heritage and presented it in European parliament. I've also done a lot of pleasant things like shopping, chatting with new people about many things. I've learnt that there are plenty of different cultures and I've seen Belgian interests, European parliament, met new people … I've consolidate my knowledge of geography, history, English language. I've seen how an ordinary day looks like. I had problems mainly with language, how to tell some sentences and words very fast. But I think that I was good at establishing contacts to host family, teachers, and students. I really appreciated the hospitality of host family and generally I think that Belgian students were trying to do their best. I enjoyed staying in Belgium. In Belgium I had problems with my broken English. I appreciated my host family this was Belgium teacher and I appreciated all Belgium's family and students for their kindness, hospitality. I hope that I will improve my English during this project. I've learnt a lot of things about Antwerp and about Belgium's school. And I've learnt some Dutch words like Ik ben van Slovenia, Ik ben Martina. Lakker .. We had a good public transport, but we had problems with that. (Because is Antwerp such huge city). I was good in a presentation in Antwerp, I was a little scared but not too much. I really like Belgium because I've met a lot of new people. Nika S. (SLO) I had really good time in Belgium. Even though I was staying at one of the teachers' place, it was great. Host family was very interesting and I liked it very much. They were all very nice and friendly. I've also met a lot of new people, mostly from Belgium. Anyway, I think it was the best meeting so far because we knew each other better than at 1st or 2nd meeting, so we were more relaxed and confident and we could make friends faster. I also liked working in groups, because in our group, we got along very well and it was real fun. And I also think that we made good presentations.
While we were in Belgium, we also went to Antwerp, where we were mostly shopping. The city is quite big but we had our Belgian friends to tell us where the shops and restaurants are. I also liked bowling, :D It was fun and funny and I've made some new friends there. And European parliament was also interesting to see. We bought Belgian chocolate, too. It’s delicious, of course. Anyway, it was the best! I love Belgium! … and Eurolinks, of course J
