Eyes Are for Looking

Maqsood Hasni

Across That Wall He put eyes on a wall; Across that wall was Laying a vast desert. Man has reached the moon And has forgotten earth relations. Morning will appear From church and Mosque A story of sweet dream O man of earth! Get up, Get up from dram. Man of the day will, Other wise crush everything Earth uterus has opened And cotton comes out. But people have again forgot All pains and troubles.

Choice Still in Hand In the place of blue sky, Smoke and clouds dark are For flying birds, Neither east nor west. It’s a question: All communication have broken, If so, who will touch the cradle? No voice, except orders or demands. It is a true: Birds are in the space, Earth and shady place. Not less than hunter’s hands Dear birds, Let me know your choice: Surrender or fight, Prison or death, Charity or hunger? Nothing for you, but Choice still in hand.

How and why If some one says: Close your eyes, Shut the door of listening, At that situation, For a moment, You may imagine and comment: What will happen, How will the heart land be safe. From what and why?

Cups and Lumps If the cup hasn’t tea, Lips never touch its brim. It is true that The blind know nothing about lights The wise don’t think except wrong. But a mental sometimes Does or thinks right. For thousands of years, gods of temples have been doing nothing. But listening a lot. Where there is no tea or lights, Why do the great people say: Come to us, come to us We have tea and lights, But cups and lumps May be your own.

The New Era On a white paper He wrote in red ink: Hunger and life are Two different trains but Where earth and blood. Are different things, Death loses meanings. One thing more I noted: The white was not white now The Red changed its blood and temperament. While You Know It is strange We start life from tops. No doubt, flowers are up But honey be got from earth If the bee does not get it From flowers? Nothing is everlasting Except relation with earth While you know that Peace prizes are granted to those Who refused earth relations. I Be submit Sometimes, From the abdomen Of thick and deep clouds The sun appears. Grain plants always Grow in sandy field, Or talent from huts, Thirst at banks, Roses on graves. I resubmit, No hurry to die All inferiors have to live. On earth or sky Nowhere peaceful sleep, Or soft clay. Crown ever Remains

Eyes Are for Looking Why do people hate black? Clouds have hunger’s solution, Blooms for the pale, Life for the dying. Laugh for the angry Chance for singers. Why do we hate black? Black has blue Blue is thirst of eyes. Could you bear green drops From green eyes? Why do you hate black? Sick is the neighbour, Dust in the hair, Hunger in the huts, Thirst for mercy. Eyes are fro look But we do not like to look. Ruling here and there Here haven’t existence There have not survival But a dirty and hot pot of ……….. The king is very kind but He hates all these society killers. Don’t worry, his soldiers are very a active. Soon the world will remain for the fewest. Eyes are for look But we do not like to look.

IF DOUBTS APPEAR If doubt appears, All colors lose color. But love is an Evergreen world’s heavenly tree. Its leaves and flowers never faint, Nor lose beauty but look charming. Here is no room for doubt and hate. If doubt appears For a sweet song, Nightingale cannot live Mind and heart will lose grip on time, While time treats like a hungry lion Nothing to think, nothing in sleep, nothing to do. I stress to believe and trust By mind and heart Otherwise claimed love will be nothing But a mad laugh Or routine talk of the king.

Birth Day May these words before the eyes fall Of a gentle, cooperative, learned friend Martin Hal: Martin, you have lighted torches of knowledge Not only I but the world men acknow ledge The prayer comes out of my heart: May you travel in long life’s cart! May joy go above galaxies of sky! May your thoughts, desires fly so ligh! May your life out number numbers! May you become one of star’s membes! May your birthday bring great mirth! May your life find the greatest worth! He Will be There

How Could They Stay More? People prayed for the holy rain; Clouds of mercy appeared but Drops stopped in the air. No possibility was there to take back Because God never draws back His orders. It wasn’t fault of the earth; It was human blood All over the earth. No room was left for Holy drops, but they were to come down. Water and blood when met Love, peace and mercy, How could they stay more? How could They Stay More?

No More God created Adam with clay To use all colors Not only red and black Colors change colours Yet colors never change nature, but When things look black, Red becomes important. Life is like the ocean First bank nowhere, Second has not yet been discovered. Divided into three: Black in the east, Red in the west, Brown in the gaps. Living in gaps always think Should life be so? How can their thoughts Be considered pure and clear As have been worn Some from east Some from west? Do you know Where desires don’t come true There one or three Remain no more No more? No, not at All! 88

I saw a land Where man wasn’t man But skin and dress alike man Eating silver and gold, Drinking blood with cold, Ever looking for more, Honey worlds in oily mouth, But poison in thoughts. If man, for eating and drinking, Sweet and honey laugh, Laughs at man, That land isn’t for giving But just taking and taking.

Read from Eyes Should it be necessary to talk? How can words reflect inner happening? Eyes are, in fact, mirrors. Nothing is in the world but your eyes; A world of meanings I find there. Don’t show your fake anger: I have read there Love for me. Often, we know, Not ready to accept, We hide a true and pure heart Which is openly unjust. Witness can be hired But what is the need of a witness? With a kind and sincere look He can be acknowledged With the universe of emotions and thoughts. Don’s accept, Read from eyes Believe only in a merciful look.

14

Should It Be Necessary Should it be necessary: Beef and butter for the poor, Or they live in their own homes? What is Air and sky Earth and food, in fact, are Not for the poor? They must use contraceptives. Lo! What a good idea May be thrown in the river; What need of the them here? This way: Man for fish Fish for man. Water and land come near When stars spread over the sky. I often think: (Whether) it (is) sufficient? If yes, Why so people light lamps? Why does the moon appear? Should you believe? That horrible weapons are not enough To win wars by techniques Or by God gifted courage? Meanwhile my son gets up That means dawn is about to break. Again a question arises: From where does the dawn appear? The moon and the sun Failed to realize hope and dream. Does not it mean?

15 No sky on their heads? Once again I think: Should east search Its own sky Or look to the big boss Though from far?

The White Did His Job A black and a white Met at a table Both were noble; The black had money, The white knew tricks. Te host offered wine to the black Whereas the white took tea In green and red lights, The white did his job, The black was not there. But a sick, Like a dead body Was sitting at the door And begging for meat and wine.

Suicide In the past, whenever Clouds would come in the sky, Earth never remained fruitless. East is too hot To wait for rain and rain. But no means Clouds are not in the sky, Unlucky are the prayers. People know, after rain, They will remain no more; Surely, it will be suicide. The White Did His Job
