The study was conducted in six regions of Yemen having both research and extension services, using the ex post facto research design. 93 researchers and 96 extension specialists were randomly selected as respondents for the study. Appropriate indices, scedules and scales were specially developed for the study or otherwise improved and used to measure variables of the study under the Yemeni conditions. The questionnaire method was used to gather the data form respondents. The instrument was rightly translated into Arabic and duly pretested. The data were coded, tabulated and analyzed using suitable statistical tests. The findings of the study indicate that some respondents’ characteristics manifested both positive and negative but significant correlation with attitude towards R-E linkages, and various components of communictaion behavior under investigation. Few independent variables made significant contribution towards dependent variables. Respondents identified a number of problems affecting R-E linkage mechanisms and personnel’s communication performance. Similarly, a number of suggestions have been offered to remedy obstacles identified. Additionally, the study suggested a number of relevant research work for future consideration and execution.
