Dumbness I was at the airport holding passport and waiting patiently for my flight to Phuket, Thailand. This was the first trip ever after I completed my degree journey in Arts and Design at renown private college which is LimKokWing University. Usually, two best friend of mine whose name were Bella and Sophia would join me every vacation but this time I decided to go alone without them. We would go to London or Paris as we enjoyed so much shopping as our trademark speaks for itself which is shop till drops. But for this trip, I prefer to go alone as I wanted to relax my mind before I start to work as fashion designer at New York. My degree journey was so smooth as I graduated with first class degree and it made my parents so proud. I decided not to pursue my study in business like my parents because I’m more interested in Arts and Design and hoping to be a famous fashion designer in Malaysia. I enjoyed my study so much as money was not a problem for me as I was born with silver spoon in my mouth. Every weekend my best friend and I would go shopping joyfully at the KLCC and as Arts and Design student must always updated with the latest fashion. My first row of wardrobe was packed with top of brands handbags which is most of them cost about thousand dollars for each handbag and some of them was specially designed for me. Move to the outfit, I usually spend a huge amount of money for every month just to make sure that I have varieties of clothes and it would never be worn again. Perks of being Arts and Design student you can choose to collaborate with famous design and you will become the first person to own their collection. My life also was full with blessings and joy as I can go for shopping with unlimited credit card that my parents provide for me. Unexpectedly my life become completely different since I met a handsome and stylish man with dashing smile sitting next to me in Business class seat. There was only one word to describe the sun-kissed Asian where his lips were pale and thin and his nose slender and rounded. A prominent jaw-line curved gracefully around and the strength of his neck showed in the twining cords of muscle that shaped his entire body. It was the most alluring creature I have ever seen and it’s not only about his face but the life force I can see in him. At first I was ignoring the feeling as my heart pounded unstably and I tried to react as cool as I can. It was the first time I experience the first sight of love. Then he realised that I was looking at him and he started the conversation by exchange name and mobile phone number with me. I was so elated and excitedly told Sophia and Bella that I found my soulmate in the flight to Phuket. Two hours’

journey to Phuket feels so fast as we need to part ways at Phuket International Airport. His name was Hanif as he works as Pilot at Emirates Airlines. I went straight to the hotel that I booked earlier which I choose to stay at Andaman White Beach Resort that include private pool and Jacuzzi in every room. The view from the beach is rich blue-green, ocean in front and hills clothed in lush tropical forest behind. Surprisingly, when I went to breakfast I saw Hanif was staying at the next door which is at the same hotel as mine. Hanif also went to Phuket alone as he is going to leave Malaysia and stay at Dubai for a year so he thought that it was the last time he will be able to enjoy the beautiful nature of Phuket. Since both of us were alone at Phuket so he invited me to explore Phuket together. Indeed, I was so into spending time with Hanif as he was soft spoken person. My heart melt so easily and he asked me for a candle light dinner during our last night at Phuket. Hanif proposed at me as he also fell in love with me at the first sight. After returned to Malaysia, we decided to get married at the end of the year. My parents, Bella and Sophia hadn't put their believes in me because it was a very short meeting then we decided to settle down with marriage. But Hanif was able to convince them that he is financially stable and he promised that he will take care of me until his last breath. Our reception was so grand and it was an unforgettable moment in my life ever. There was a great excitement and joy among us to see the preparations for the wedding celebration in our family. The ceremony took place in an enormous villa which had been built for various celebrations. It was excellently furnished and nicely decorated with fresh flowers and I wore the most dazzling custom made gown by Rizman Ruzaini. It was a delightful and lovely night that full with happiness and joy. A week after the occasion, Hanif and I went to Dubai and we will be staying there. At first I refused to stay with Hanif at Dubai as I wanted to work at New York but Hanif reassured me that every wife must stay through thick and thin by his husband. Hanif treated me so well as he will bring me out for shopping and went for vacation during his free time. He repeatedly says that he is the luckiest person on Earth as I become his wife and willing to lose my job so that I can stay with him in Dubai. But all the happiness was not long-lasting as he starts to show his true colours. Hanif actually is a human trafficker that will persuade people to come to Dubai and put them into the operation of sex slavery, labour or removal of organs. The truth has been revealed when an unknown person burst into my house and kidnapped me. I was unconscious as he hit my head with a hard object.

I opened my eyes and I saw my parents, Bella and Sophia staying beside me. I cried and started to blame myself for the dumbness as I cannot decide the best choice for my life. Hanif has been caught by police in Dubai. Luckily my father sense something wrong when he cannot contact my mobile phone for about 2 days straight. Literally, my father went to Dubai for a short business trip and wanted to see me and Hanif. So he went straight to our house but there is no one at home. He decided to lodge a police report about my missing and police did their job within 24 hours then found me unconscious at the store room at Hanif’s workplace. He also has tricked me that he was a pilot who works for Emirates. My parents, Bella and Sophia started to blame me for not believing them that Hanif was a bad person at first. I became so speechless as I’m not expecting that Hanif was lying to me as I’m loving him till death. To make matters worse, he also took all my saving without my acknowledgement. After all the case has been settled, my father brings me back to Malaysia and stayed with them. I’m also traumatised by what I have gone through as I cannot meet any outsiders or even strangers except for Bella and Sophia. That was the most vapid stuff that I ever done in my life and I am in deep penitence to believe at the first sight love. Although Hanif’s action always action seen suspicious since I’m married to him but I still trust that Hanif was a good person and worth person to marry. Unfortunately, the dumbness of me make me still accept Hanif as my life partner without further information about his family and carrier’s background. The truth is that love towards Hanif make me ignored all the bad side of Hanif eventhough I knew it from the start and now I am very regret for accepting Hanif as my life partner.
