Drug Studies Guidelines Introduction: Nurses must have knowledge about the drugs they administer to clients. This is a requirement outlined by the Standards of Practice of the Nurses Act. To facilitate your learning of pharmacology, we require that you look up the medications you administer to your clients the night before clinical if possible. You are expected to prepare Drug Studies using the following format. Submit the studies with your Daily Reflections for your clinical teacher to mark each week. Instructions: 1. Use cards or an 8” X 10” sheet in order to file in a binder. 2. Bring sheets or cards to clinical for easy reference. 3. Complete study by referring to your Drug Handbook as follows: a. b. c. d. e.
