Guidelines for Preparing a Case Study 1.

Read it 4 times.

2.

1st reading is like reading a story.

3.

2nd reading is analytic and, therefore, most important for a successful case study session. In this reading: a.

Underline/highlight the key facts and protagonists (players) in the case study.

b.

Make notes, in the margin, of events, developments, decisions, points of view, conflicts, agreements, twists, turns, results, conclusions, etc as you find them in the case study.

c.

Research into unfamiliar terms, acronyms, abbreviations, concepts, processes, systems, tools, techniques, etc, and take notes on a separate sheet, or take printouts.

d.

Note the lessons learnt.

4.

3rd reading is for validation, ensuring that the case study has been completely understood and that there are no voids or uncharted areas.

5.

4th reading is for revision/refresher before joining the case study session.

6.

During the case study session, keep the case study and research notes with you. Mobiles and laptops will not be allowed during the case study session.

7.

Classroom activity will be individual, not group. Carry your own Case Study printout and Notes. There shall be NO SHARING.
