Objective After completing my Bachelor of Science in early childhood education, I aim to gain employment in an urban setting. I believe in the power of diversity and want to facilitate the mutual learning of academic and social concepts through emergent, respectful curriculum.

Work Experience Substitute Administrator, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, 1111 Polaris Pkwy., Columbus, OH 43240 (614) 217-4131 — Oct. 2018 – Present • This position is computer heavy. I am managing the company’s system, emailing reports to other company staff, and scheduling families for future care. I also manage the staff currently working and work heavily with files of the different families that come in for care. Toddler Teacher / Support Staff, The Compass School, 3989 N. Hampton Dr., Powell, OH 43065 (614) 764-8844 — Feb. 2017 – Present ● My roles include teaching children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old. I assist in classrooms during plannings, breaks, and planned/unplanned time off. Most recently, I have spent the past six months co-teaching in a toddler classroom. Associate Infant Teacher, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, 1111 Polaris Pkwy., Columbus, OH 43240 (614) 217-4131 — Aug. 2015 – Feb. 2017 ● My responsibilities included being a caregiver to children whose parents have just returned to work. I helped mothers and fathers feel safe as they parted from their children, and I assisted children as they explored and learned in their new environments.

The Compass School (Fall Semester, 2016) – The Compass School is a Reggio inspired preschool and private kindergarten. I spent two mornings a week at Compass interacting with students and their families. I implemented 6 approved lesson plans in conjunction with my ECDE classes at Columbus State. Forest Park Elementary (Spring Semester, 2017) – I spent two mornings a week in this Columbus City School kindergarten classroom. I observed a long-time teacher and interacted with students by helping with writing and math. Columbus Museum of Art (Summer Semester, 2017) – The Summer Art Workshops are a summertime favorite at the Columbus Museum of Art. In partnership with a co-teacher and our Columbus State supervisor, I created and facilitated two different weeklong art centered summer camps for children ages 3-5.
