Personal Profile Presently serving as Superintendent of Lisbon Community School District and Springville Community School District. I enjoy traveling, hunting, and boating. Professional Experience Lisbon and Springville Community School District Superintendent 2013 to Present 

Successfully lead and manage two school districts. Served as Lisbon Community School District Superintendent for 6 years, 4 years as a shared Superintendent with Springville Community School District. Implemented and coordinated the operational sharing of multiple positions for maximum cost savings. Standardized procedures for collaboration between city council and school board for the betterment of long term relationships and joint projects. Led facility group and passed 3 question - $9 million bond referendum for Lisbon Community School District. Construction began summer of 2018. Led facility group and passed $5 million bond for Springville Community School District for construction of new elementary. Doors opened in August of 2017. Proven track record of recruiting, hiring, and retaining exceptional staff members. Consistently evaluate instructional program effectiveness for optimal teaching and learning. Support and evaluate all level principals, directors of transportation, food service, buildings and grounds, and director of the Lisbon Early Childhood Center. Successfully negotiated contracts and salaries between certified and classified staff. Led and organized professional development for both school boards including workshops on finance, board member orientation, and legislative advocacy. Iowa Superintendents Finance and Leadership Consortium class instructor. Maintained and then expanded the Lisbon 1:1 device program from grades 2-12 to K-12. Professional Experience (Continued) Northeast Hamilton Community School District Superintendent/Principal K-8 2012 to 2013 Principal K-12 1994 to 2012              

Oversaw day to day operations of K-12 building with approximately 350 students and 30 staff members. Helped guide board through decision to enter partial day share agreement with Webster City Community Schools and oversee the implementation of the partial day share. Implementation of 1:1 iPad Technology Initiative. Attended and facilitated building facilities meeting in preparation for construction of new elementary. Attended and participated in the bi-monthly construction meetings for the new elementary building. Oversaw implementation of Daily 5/Cafe Reading program. Character Counts Implementation. Second Chance Reading Implementation. CRISS Strategies Implementation. Developed a grading committee to evaluate current grading practices to align with current performance-based learning/grading.
