LINZER TARTS FOR THE HOLIDAY ANTHONY SPINELLI. USE A 350 DEGREE OVEN AND BAKE FOR TEN MINUTES UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. 1-stick butter 1/2-cup sugar 2 large egg yolks 1/4 tsp vanilla 1-1/3 cup flour 1/3 cup flour for dusting 1/2 cup powder sugar for tops. Beat butter and sugar until creamy and add egg yolks,vanilla,flour,mix into ball and use balance of flour for dusting and refrigerate for 8 hours. Divide into 4 sections and roll into 1/4 inch thick pieces. Cut 20 pieces for bottom and 20 pieces for top.Top pieces get a small hole in center. Place apricot or raspberry jam on bottom pieces and put on tops and sprinkle with powder sugar.
