1° What is a successful pupil? A- Pupils'answers: «A successful pupil is someone who will be remembered for ever. After many years, people still remember him» «A successful pupil would be nice and bright, he would have good marks» (Spain) « The definition of success varies according to the people. It's personal. For me, being successful is having a good job, such as: doctor, lawyer, teacher, politician, etc. But it's also founding a family, bringing up your kids and respecting your own parents. Succesful pupils must have high grades at school, but it's not the only criterion. They must also be helpful and if they succeed, it's on their own; they don't take private lessons. They are able to speak more than one language, they communicate easily. Living 'successfully' is the dream of every young student. Sometimes it's difficult to reach the top ,but if we are encouraged enough, we can succeed» (Bulgaria) «Successful pupils find jobs and enjoy their jobs. They have good marks at school and they are organized in their work. An engineer is a successful person» (France) «Successful pupils are curious, intelligent, determined, always ready; they are open-minded. We can quote the example of Rita Levi-Montalchini. She was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medecine in 1986» (Italy) B- Teachers' answers: «It is someone who has good grades and finishes his education (12th grade)» (Bulgaria) «Someone who gets a maximum from the context: not only degrees, but also personal fulfilment. They feel fine... Diplomas are important but knowledge and passion are more important» (Spain) «Our main aim is to offer pupils an opportunity to attend university and to prepare them in the best way. In Italy, only 50% of the pupils can go to university.» (Italy)
