Activity Grid The Activity Grid is a verticalThe Activity Grid with time entries (one active). scrolling seven-day, 24-hour calendar that holds time entries. The week displayed in the grid is controlled by the Week Selector, which is located above the grid on the DayBook toolbar. When DayBook is opened, the current week is displayed. The top of the grid, shows the name and date of each day in the displayed week. The order in which the days of the week appear can be changed in User Options. (See User Options) The left side of the grid displays a time label for each hour of the day. When a week is loaded, the grid is automatically scrolled so that a user-defined starting time is at the top of the displayed portion of the grid. (See User Options) The bottom of the grid displays the total time-entry hours for each displayed day. The grid can be scrolled manually with the scrollbar on the right side of the grid or with a mouse scroll wheel, if available. Snap-To Grid The Activity Grid also has an invisible snap-to grid that is used for positioning and resizing time entries. The width of the snap-to grid matches the width of each day column, but the height is based on the User Options setting for "Minimum Time Entry Minutes." For example, if the setting is 15 minutes, each hour on the Activity Grid has snap-to coordinates at 0, 15, 30 and 45 minutes within the hour. Note that time entries placed on the grid can not be moved outside the bounds of the grid. Also note that time entries can not overlap — DayBook automatically positions overlapping time entries to the next available grid position that is large enough to hold the entry.
