User Options DayBook provides a variety of configurable options to make the application fit your needs. These options are accessible from the User Options button on the DayBook toolbar. Options and their uses are: First Name: The first name that appears on reports. Last Name: The last name that appears on reports.

User Options form.

Week Starts On:The day-of-week (such as Sunday) that appears in the first column of the Activity Grid. The default value is Sunday, which means Saturday appears in the last column of the grid. To have weekend days appear at the right side of the grid, select Monday as the start day. Alternately, to have the weekend days appear at the left side of the grid, select Saturday as the start day. Work Day Starts At: The time of day that you typically begin work. As a convenience, DayBook scrolls the Activity Grid so that this time is at the top (or near the top) of the grid. The grid is reset to this position each time the application starts or when a different week is selected. The default value is 8:00. You can enter any valid time value in 24-hour (hh:mm) format. Default Time Entry Minutes: This is the default size for time entries dragged from the Project Tree. The default value is 60 minutes. The choices are: 6, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Hint: The value you select should be equal-to or a multiple of the value set for Minimum Time Entry Minutes. For example, don't combine value pairs such as 10/6, 15/6 or 15/10. Minimum Time Entry Minutes: When time entries are resized, this is the unit-of-change. It also represents the duration of the smallest time entry you can create. The default value is 15 minutes. The choices are: 6, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Hint: The value you select should be equal-to or a round-number divisor for Default Time Entry Minutes. For example, don't combine value pairs such as 10/6, 15/6 or 15/10. Auto-Save Changes on Exit: By default, DayBook automatically saves your changes when you close the application, switch to a different week or navigate to a different page. By changing this setting to "No" DayBook will not save changes when you close the application or navigate to a different web page. (Changes are always saved when you switch weeks.) The third option for this setting is "Prompt" which will ask you whether or not you wish

to save any changes when you close the application or navigate to a different web page. Note: Changes to User Options are saved when you click the "Save" button on the User Options form — you do not have to click the "Save" button on the DayBook toolbar. Shortcut Prefix Text: By default, DayBook automatically adds the text "Shortcut To:" at the beginning of each shortcut's task name. You can change this text to fit your preferences, including changing it to blank. The User Options form includes small green help icons next to each value. Moving the mouse cursor over these icons will display help information on the individual item. All saved changes take effect the next time to start DayBook (or when you refresh the browser window).
