RATIONALE
-Lumbar and Flank pain
-may be asymptomatic
-if the onset is gradual
-Pain in the flank and back -Dysuria
- because of an acute obstruction - if infection is present
-Chills
- if infection is present
-Fever
- if infection is present
-Tenderness
- if infection is present
-Pyuria
- if infection is present
-Bleeding
- sign of chronic renal failure
Classical Signs & Symptoms -
The patient verbalized that he has pain in his flank and right abdomen. He was afebrile, dysuria (-), pyuria (-), tenderness is not felt in the affected area, and no signs of bleeding.
Clinical Manifestation -
The patient may be asymptomatic if the onset is gradual. Acute obstruction may produce aching in the flank and back. If infection is present, dysuria, chills, fever, tenderness, and pyuria may occur. There may be bleeding from affected signs and symptoms of chronic renal failure may occur.
