Madam, Sub: Tamil Nadu Revised Scales of Pay Rules, 2009 – Fixation of pay relating to Government employees in the Pay Band-3 and drawing pay in the scale of pay of Rs.15600—39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/- and above clarification – Regarding. Ref:

I am to invite your attention to the references cited. 2. The Pay and Accounts Officer (Secretariat) in the reference second cited has brought to the notice of Government that if the regulation of pay and allowances with reference to Tamil Nadu Revised Scales of Pay Rules 2009 has to be fixed by the Head of Offices with reference to the orders issued in the Government Order cited, the pay drawn particulars in respect of Self Drawing Officers has to be obtained by the Head of office from the Pay and Accounts Offices / Accountant General’s office as the case may be. consequently there will be considerable delay in fixing the pay of the Self drawing Officers. Hence in order to avoid such delay, she has requested to issue necessary instructions to fix the pay of the self-drawing officers (drawing their pay in Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600 and above) by the Pay and Accounts Offices / Accountant General. 3. Considering the difficulty pointed out in fixing the pay of the Self-Drawing Officers by Head of the Offices, I am directed to inform that as pointed out by the Pay and Accounts Officer (Secretariat), the pay of the Self-Drawing Officer (drawing their pay in Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600 and above) under Tamil Nadu Revised Scales of Pay Rules, 2009 shall be fixed by the Pay and Accounts Officers / Treasury Officers / Sub-Treasury Officers / Accountant General as the case may be without reference to para 3(e) of the Government Order cited. Consequently, I am

2 also to inform that the Self-Drawing Officers shall exercise their option to the concerned Pay and Accounts Offices / Accountant General/Treasury Officers/SubTreasury Officers under whose audit control the officer was serving on 1-1-2006 or any subsequent date on which the officer exercises his option to come over to the Tamil Nadu Revised Scales of Pay Rules, 2009.
