Hallelujah! Spring is finally here! Okay, Okay… maybe not for a couple more days, but it sure does feel like it… Doesn’t it? After the winter we’ve had, I know you’re probably looking forward to it as much as I am. With Spring comes renewal, refreshing, rejuvenation! I hope church is in your plans this Spring because we have some great things planned for you. Our newsletter this week is packed with upcoming events and opportunities for you to share and get involved in and we hope you’ll be a big part of them. Some of you have been asking lately “What are some needs do we have right now?” I’m glad you’re asking! Wednesday nights are always in need of teachers and helpers (especially with the younger ones). We’re having a work day soon with plenty of projects, we desperately need a new copier and we’d like to be able to purchase some furniture items for the new library/prayer room. Our special offering will be going toward the outside painting and restoration of the Sanctuary building which is desperately needed. As you can see, our needs are great, but I believe that we are up to the challenge! We have a great opportunity to make this the best Spring ever… But we must have your help and support! I’m excited to see what the Lord is going to do through us and I hope you are too! Church family…. Let’s roll!

This Saturday we will be meeting with Tim Conley and other local and state representatives to pray for and encourage them in their leadership positions.

Facts & Figures

Hey guys, Well I don’t have a whole lot of things planned for the upcoming future, other than Move. And just so you know that is June 20th-25th. I have a few things that I am planning but none that are certain on dates, so I’ll save them for another day. Right now I would like to take the time to inform you a little bit more on the programs that we are currently having at church right now for the youth. Wednesday is a big day here at church for the youth program. There is something for grades K-12. We have classes for kids who are between the grades of K through 5th up and down the hallway of the annex. These classes last from 7:00 to 8:30 and are full of fun learning and activities for the kids. For 6th grade through 12th, we have what we call Fireproof. It starts at 6:45 and last until 8:30. We play games, eat snacks, worship and have a devotion time. This is our main outreach service for kids in the community. We have a lot of fun at Fireproof but we also take worshiping our God and learning more about Him very seriously and that is also a big part of our service. Sunday is also a busy day for the youth program. Starting at 10:00 a.m. we have Sunday school classes for k-5th graders, in the classrooms. These classes are only 45 minutes long and consist of a Bible lesson and fun activity. For Fireproof age kids we have a new service we just started called Uprising. It is in the attic of the church and starts at 10:00 a.m. It is basically a mini-church service for the youth. We have worship, communion and a lesson, but it is geared more towards the youth and very different from the 11:00 a.m. service the adults have. Also on Sunday night we have a high school Bible study called 180. It starts at 7 p.m. at my house right across the street from the church. This is an in depth Bible study designed to help us learn more about God and the faith that we have in Him. I just wanted to take the time to talk about the programs we have for the youth every week at the church. And also to say that if you would ever like to help in any way we can surely find a place for you. From driving a van to pouring Kool-Aide, we would love your help. Have a great week.
