Easter Happenings Hard to believe that Easter is right around the corner, but it sure is! So to prepare for one of the biggest Sundays of the year, we're sprucing the place up, and getting ready for the big day. First off, there will be a Spring Cleaning/Work Day this Saturday, April 4th 9 AM-12 PM. I realize that there is a Kiwanis event that morning, ballgames etc. but we do need to get the church house cleaned up. A list of projects has been listed in the educational annex hallway across from Miss Susan's Sunday School Class, and supplies can be located in the former Ladies Bible Study Class room. Secondly, WLCC will be represented at the Good Friday Service in the Community Center 8:15-9:15 PM with Matthew preaching at 8:15, the Praise Team singing at 8:30, and Paul preaching after the Praise Team is finished. Prayer Counselors will be available the whole evening for prayer with individuals and/or families. The Good Friday service is sponsored by the Morgan County Ministerial Fellowship. Finally, Easter Sunday will feature the Choir, Praise Team, Kids Choir & Puppets, and a short devotion by yours truly. Please make every effort to be present! We want to pack the house! Remember your witness to the community and A CROWD DRAWS A CROWD! Also be prepared for our annual Easter offering that will go toward the outside refurbishing of the Sanctuary building. This will include new trim, gutters, awning and painting. Envelopes will be available Easter Sunday and in the next newsletter. See You Sunday!
Paul
We are having a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser for Move on the third Sunday of this month. That is going to be April 19th. Please check the ad below for what you need to bring to help. Move is coming up on us very quickly and we are going to start doing quite a bit of fundraising for it. So if you want to go and you want your trip to be as cheap as possible, come to the fundraisers. Remember that is Sunday April 19h Spaghetti Dinner. Also on April 26th, which is the last Sunday of the month, we are going to be taking the Junior Church kids to Mr. Gatti’s. Parents are encouraged to go with us. We had a lot of fun there last year and I know the kids are looking forward to going there again. If you are unable to come with your child please send with them some money to eat and play games on. $15 to $20 would be plenty! Finally we are more than likely going to be having a Middle School Lock-in the first weekend in May. I am not 100% positive on that, but look for it to be around that time. So don’t worry Middle Schoolers, the annual spring time lock-in is coming! And last but not least, welcome coach Cal, welcome. It’s a new era of basketball for the Bluegrass folks!
Bible Blitz The last class before summer break will be April 8th.
Spaghetti Fundraiser Sunday, April 19th immediately following Morning Worship. YOUTH: please bring spaghetti, prepared spaghetti sauce, garlic bread, salad, salad dressing, drinks and/or desserts.
Mr. Gatti’s Trip Matthew will be taking the elementary age kids to Mr. Gatti’s Sunday, April 26th immediately following Morning Worship.
