“Tic-Tac-Toe” characTer Choiceboard Choose and complete 3 tasks horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. (30 points) Into the Twitterverse: Create a twitter page and a set of three (3) tweets from a character in one of the three texts. You must create a Twitter handle, bio, use #hashtags. How would they be perceived in the present day with modern technology? *(You may use the template I created on Microsoft Word and fill it out)
Poets Wanted: Create a sonnet about a character from one of the texts. Describe their appearance, personality, motivations, etc. You must also incorporate at least one quote within your poem that they have directly said in the readings. Use quotation marks to signify the used quote. Don’t forget to give your poem a title!
Making Connections: Choose a character that really interested you from any of the three texts we read. You will use the character to make connections to another text, to yourself, and to the world. Use the modified template I created on Microsoft Word and fill it out.
Digital Presentation: Using Animoto (sign up for a free trial), create a 2-minute visual presentation of a character you have not yet used for any previous character analysis assignments. Use photos, add music, and implement in-depth information about the character that other students would find interesting and useful in understanding.
Character Theme Park: Find two other classmates and select one (1) character from each text. Create an amusement park ride inspired by your characters (3 rides total). On a shared blank paper, you will each draw/color a picture of your rides and write a thorough description of the ride’s function and its connection to your character’s nature/essence.
If Pictures Could Talk: Choose a character from any text and find a web-generated image of the character. Using Blabberize, you will provide a voice-over for your character and do a mini introduction of them. Upload your character’s photo, edit how you want the character’s mouth to move within the photo, and then record your voice as the character. Provide some information about who they are to help us understand the character.
Character Collage: Choose a character and create a collage of photos, quotes, and drawings that encompasses the character. These can stem from how you perceive them as well as things the they may symbolize. Find photos in magazines, computergenerated images, or draw them yourself! Your collage may fill up an 8 ½ x 11 blank white paper. Include a brief summary of your reasonings behind some of your choices.
Venn Diagram: Find a partner and choose two characters that are in different texts. Using the Venn Diagram interactive tool by ReadWriteThink, complete a Venn diagram by listing traits and characteristics the make them different while listing their similarities where the two circles collide. How similar/different are they? *(You may use the template I have created on Microsoft Word or create your own)
Letter of Assistance: On Google Docs, construct a personalized letter written from you to a character of your choice. Characters in the texts have all experienced a particular conflict. Reach out to them and help them in resolving this conflict. Talk about the specific problem and offer your solutions. This should be ¾ of a page at least. Feel free to add any useful websites that may help them in solving their problem.
