As a class, we have already covered the Graphic Novel in class, and with the completion of the Greek Mythology unit upon us, why not combine the two? It is quite simple: take any Greek Myth covered in the unit, and bring it to life through the lens of a Graphic Novel! This is an individual assignment, with a minimum 10 comic strips required.
Students who choose this option are required to conduct an Interview with a Greek God or Goddess. Given, they are not around today to actually do the interview; however, using what was discussed in class and in books, come up with an interview. It is recommended that students do this task in essay form, but feel free to run ideas by Mr. Morello (minimum 12 questions; Individual Assignment). There are certain qualities that set each Greek God or Goddess apart from one another. Therefore, focusing on one Greek Mythology character, put together a commercial for a product or service this Greek God or Goddess might offer to the public. This assignment can be down in group of three to four, with approval from Mr. Morello.
