Chocolate and Almond cake For 04 Portions

For icing and decoration Astra margarine Icing sugar Milk Melted chocolate Chopped cashew nuts toasted
Method Cream the margarine and sugar together until and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolks, melted chocolate, ground almonds and essence. Fold in the corn flour, flour, baking powder and baking soda. Whisk the egg whites until stiff, then carefully fold into the cake mixture. Divide the mixture between two round 20 cm baking trays. Bake at 160 C for 40 - 45 minutes. Turn out and cool on a wire tray. To make the icing, beat the margarine and icing sugar. Add milk and melted chocolate. Beat well. Sandwich with chocolate butter cream and cover the sides with chopped cashew nuts. Decorate with half dipped Almonds.
