President RUPIAH BANDA has made changes to Government: 1. Deputy Minister of Defence Dr. EUSTARKIO KAZONGA, has been promoted as Local Government Minister, to replace the late Ben Tentamashimba. 2. Chitambo Member of Parliament Dr. SOLOMON MUSONDA, as new Deputy Minister of Health 3. MWENDOI AKAKANDELWA, (Formerly Deputy Minister of Health) has been moved to the Ministry of Energy and Water Development in the same capacity. 4. Kalabo Member of Parliament SIKWIBELE MWAPELA, is the new deputy Minister of Western Province 5. ADONS MUFALALI , (Formerly Minister of Western Province) has been moved to the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services. 6. JOSEPH MULYATA, (Formerly North‐Western Province Minister) is now Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives 7. DANIEL KALENGA, (Former Deputy Minister) of Agriculture becomes deputy in North‐ Western Province. 8. ELIJAH Muchima, (former Deputy Minister of Information and Broadcasting) has been moved to Local Government and Housing in the same capacity. 9. Angela Chifire, (former Deputy Minister of, Youth Sports and Child Development) has been moved to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services in the same capacity. 10. Hastings Imasiku, (former Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Vocational Training) has been moved to the Ministry of Energy and Water Development ‐Mr IMASIKU to help stabilize the flow of fuel in the country, which was erratic in the last few weeks. 11. GLADYS LUNDWE, (former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Water Development) has been moved to the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Child Development.

CHRISTOPHER KALILA , Deputy Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development has been moved to the Ministry of Works and Supply in the same capacity. 14. Dr. LWIPA PUMA, deputy Minister at Local Government and Housing moves to the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. 15. CHRISPIN MUSOSHA, deputy Minister from Local Government and Housing to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Vocational Training 16. MUNDIA NDALAMEI, (former Deputy Minister of Works and Supply) has been moved to Sport, , Youth and Child Development. 17. RICHARD TAIMA, (former Deputy Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry) has been moved to the Ministry of Education in the same capacity. 18. Permanent Secretary Reshuffles: 1. Former Football Association of Zambia President, Teddy Mulonga has been appointed Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Sport, Youth and Child Development, 2. Ngosa Chisupa (Management Development Division at Cabinet Office) moves to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services 3. Medson Lisati (appointed) replaces Mr. Chisupa as Permanent Secretary at the Management Development Division at Cabinet Office 4. Lusaka Town Clerk, Timothy Hakayu, has been appointed as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Housing 5. Ms. Sherry Thole has been appointed Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Science, Technology and Vocational Training, replacing Dr SIMON MITI who has been on suspension. 6. Teddy Kasonso (Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources) moves to the Ministry of Energy and Water Development, taking over from PETER MUMBA. 7. Matondo Monde Yeta (Permanent Secretary at Gender) moves to the Ministry of Lands 8. Gabriel Kaunda will be Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Gender. 9. Gladys Kristafor (Community Development and Social Services Permanent Secretary) has been moved to the Ministry of Tourism.
Press Release 10. MENDA MENDA takes over as Community development Permanent Secretary 11. Former State House Senior Private Secretary, Allan Sakala, has been appointed as deputy Permanent Secretary for Luapula Province. Three Permanent Secretaries have been dropped 1. SUSAN SIKANETA ‐ Ministry of Sport, Youth and Child Development 2. COILLARD CHIBONTA ‐ Ministry of Local Government and Housing 3. PETER MUMBA ‐ Energy and Water Development The appointments are with immediate effect. President BANDA, in making the changes, directed the new appointees to work hard in order to improve service delivery to the people of Zambia. .
