MP ‘QUESTION TIME’ BREAKFAST 16TH October 8am-10am, Northop Hall Hotel David Hanson MP- Minister of State for Security, Counter Terrorism, Crime and Policing David was Parliamentary Private Secretary to Prime Minister Tony Blair from 2001 until 2005 when he moved on to be Minister of State at the Northern Ireland Office until 2007. After the creation of the new Ministry of Justice in 2007 he moved to take on the role as Minister of State. On the 8th of June 2009 he was appointed Minister of State for Security, Counter-Terrorism, Crime and Policing. Lembit Öpik – Liberal Democrats Housing spokesperson Prior to Parliament Lembit worked for Procter and Gamble as a Brand Assistant and Global HR Training Manager. Since 1997 he has served as the MP for Montgomeryshire and was leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats between 2001-2007. He is currently a member of the House of Commons’ Business and Enterprise Committee and the Liberal Democrat’s spokesperson on housing. David Jones MP – Welsh Conservatives, Shadow Under Secretary of State for Wales Prior to Parliament he was a senior partner at his own law firm in Llandudno. David has been the MP for Clwyd West since 2005. His special interests are the environment, law and order and constitutional affairs. In Parliament he sits on the Welsh Affairs Select Committee and Co-Chairs the All Party Group on sustainable resources. He is currently Shadow Under Secretary of State for Wales in David Cameron’s shadow cabinet. Hywel Williams MP- Plaid Cymru spokesperson for Children, Schools & Families, Health; International Development; Work and Pension Hywel was a lecturer and social worker before entering Parliament in 2001. He is a member of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee and speaks for his party on a range of issues including children, schools and families; health; international development; work and pensions. He has recently been adopted as the Plaid Cymru candidate for the new Arfon constituency.
Greg Evans- former Site Director at Wylfa Power Station Greg’s nuclear career began in 1975 on a US nuclear submarine, followed by experience at several US power plants. He joined Wylfa in 2001 where he was Production Manager. After a year at Transfynydd as Site Manager he returned to Wylfa where he was Site Director between 2005 and September 2009. During his time at Wylfa the site has become one of the leading lights of the World Cost per person £15 In+2009 VAT. Association of Nuclear Operators. he Total receivedcost several£17.25 awards including the Leading Wales Award and the CMI Regional Leadership Award.
