Record with an ‘X’ not more than 2 votes Mrs Sue Mitchell: 41 Deanhill Road East Sheen London SW14 7DQ
Personal Statement: I have two sons in the school, and therefore have a huge interest in the school’s success. I believe that every child is entitled to a motivating and stimulating education, enabling them not only to fulfil their academic potential but also preparing them for life outside school. I believe that Christ can achieve this - it has come a long way and I believe can become even better. As a development coach in large accountancy firm, I work with people to develop and achieve their goals and believe that through my motivation and experience I can add value as a governor.
Mr Martin HoughtonBrown: 3 Roxborough House Northcote Road Twickenham TW1 1NN
Personal Statement: Father of Abigail 7M and two younger children, I wish to be considered for Parent Governor. As Chief Executive of Missing People, the charity that hosts the national runaway helpline and Trustee of ECPAT UK, Britain’s leading antichild trafficking charity I am experienced in governance and leadership. I also understand fundraising and as a lobbyist I would ensure effective representation locally and nationally where appropriate. I am also a qualified teacher and a published authority on issues of children at risk. I am a member of the Church of England. I would hope to consult with other parents regularly.

professional experience in management, strategic planning, providing support and training to not-for-profit organisations in developing their governance and management relationships and a global perspective (I’ve worked for over 15 years in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America for organisations including the International Red Cross). Personally, I have two children in the school and can offer experience of different educational systems around the world (including the French and American international school networks). I am interested and committed to working with Christ’s School so that it provides the best possible experience for our children, educationally, culturally and socially. Personal Statement: As a publisher of an IT magazine for the Social Housing Sector, I have over 20 years experience in the technology field and have access to many useful contacts throughout the technology sector. I have six years experience of being a secondary school governor and was able to assist in decisions regarding the best use of ICT for schools. I am an active member of my local church and have served for a number of years on PCC. Both my wife and I are happy to be involved in fundraising and social events in the school. Personal Statement: I am a Staff Governor at Rutlish School (a post that ends this October) sitting on the Finance, Personnel and Curriculum Committees. I have found the experience invaluable and enjoyable. I was part of the selection committee for the post of Headmaster, an appointment which is generally acknowledged to have been a very effective. I am Head of a very successful History department enjoying 5 years of growth in GCSE pass rates and good added value. I believe that my experiences as a teacher, governor, parent (of two boys educated at Christs) and my prior career in the city will enable me to add to the success of the school.
