Why is brain ?important for us We normally feel that brain is only for thinking, learning and memorization. BUT We are not aware that the brain also controls all the activities in the body. So we can conclude that holistic development of a child can only occur when brain is developed holistically.
When does the brain start working? Parents views will be taken that when
brain start working? The brain start developing from the time of conception. At the time of birth hundred billion brain cells are formed. Between birth and age 3, the brain creates more synapses (connections) than it needs.

Individual differences between children’s brain develop: Child development is often thought about in terms of ‘milestones’. The amount of time it takes to reach each milestone is different with each child – some children excel in social, emotional and cognitive development, while others are much faster in terms of their physical and motor skills development. It is important for parents to remember that each child is different.
Conclusion: The development of a child’s brain holds the key to the child’s future. Although the “first years last forever “ in terms of the rapid development of young children’s brain , the actual first years of a child’s life go by very quickly. So touch, talk, read, smile, sing, count and play with your children. It does more than make both of you feel good. It helps a child’s brain develop and nourishes the child’s potential for a lifetime.
