1. Simple Present Tense Simple present tense is one of the tenses that are often used in the preparation of English sentences. The reason is, this simple present tense can be used to express facts, habits, and also events that occur at this time The formula Simple Present Tense is: S + Verb 1

2. Present Continuous Tense Present continuous tense is commonly used to show an action or event that is happening when the conversation is taking place. This present continuous tense can also be used to make a plan in the future. The formula Present Continuous Tense is : S + Am/Is/Are + Verb –ing (Continuous Form) Example Present Continuous Tense is : 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

3. Present Perfect Tense

That said, this present perfect tense is a tenses whose function is to show what is going on. This tense can be used to describe an activity or situation that has started in the past, and has been completed in the past as well or still continues today.Or, Present perfect tense serves to show actions that are still ongoing or just finished. The formula Perfect Tense is : S + Has / Have + Verb 3 (Past Participle)

4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Present Perfect Continuous Tense is one of the tense in its use has a function to describe an action that has been completed in the past, or it can also be used to describe an action that has begin in the past and still continues until now. Usually, Present Perfect Continuous Tense have a certain duration and have relevance to the current conditions. 5. Simple Past Tense Simple Past Tense is a reversal of Simple Present Tense, which has a function to describe an event that has been carried out in the past. 6. Past Continuous Tense Past Continous Tense used to describe that an event is happening at a certain time in the past. If we often read a story, there are usually two events in the past and one that is correcting another event. Well, the incident that is being corrected is what uses past continuous tense. 7. Past Perfect Tense Past Perfect Tense is used to indicate an event that occurred before time in the past. So the point is, this past perfect tense is used more to state that an action was completed in the past, before other actions took place in the past too. The formula Past Perfect Tense is : S + Had + Verb 3 (Past Participle)

Past Perfect Continuous Tense Just like Past Perfect Tense, Past Perfect Continuous Tense has a meaning to express an event that happened in the past, and has been completed at a certain point in the past too. This tense focuses more on the duration of the event. The formula Past Perfect Continuous is : S + Had + Been + Verb –ing (Continuous Form)

9. Simple Future Tense Basically, simple future tense has a function to describe an action in the future and cannot be influenced by other actions. Simple future tense can also be used to make future decisions spontaneously or assumptions that relate to the future.

10. Future Continuous Tense The function of this future continuous tense is to show an action that occurs at a certain time in the future, and also an action that will definitely occur in the near future. The formula Future Continuous Tense is : S + Will + Be + Verb –ing (Continuous form)

11. Future Perfect Tense This future perfect tense can be used to reveal that an activity will be completed at a time in the future. This Future Perfect Tense focuses on actions that will end at a certain time in the future.

The formula Future Perfect Tense is :

S + Will + Have + Verb 3 (Past Participle)
