ASTROLOGY GEMINI-Twin-Killings "Two faces have I ... yi, yi, yi, yi, yah, ha, ha..." The ultimate double-play combo, you get a two-for-one deal with every Gemini you know. They have the ability to adapt to almost any situation at any time, with anyone, and still manage to play along like they know exactly what's happening. Gemini people don't take an absolute because there is no right or wrong, just many shades of gray. This is why they can be communicators extraordinaire, or attorneys. Hey, let's not drag anyone through the mud, now! Marilyn Monroe was a Gemini, and she was an angel, sent down to portray a series of sex kittenish vixens. She had a touch of innocence to tempt the erotic impulses of a repressed American male population into things they would never do or think about since they all came from good families and didn't want to admit to doing unsavory activities such as masturbating, for you see, Gemini rules the hands, as well as lungs, but I digress, which is my point. Geminis can be focus-deficient. There's such a craving for variety that they don't stick to one thing long enough. Well, a lot of writers are born under this mental sign. Any ability is likely to be in the hands or mind. The Gemininian is usually doing something with the hands, be it smoking or biting the fingernails, doodling or twiddling, drumming, or cracking their knuckles. Something is always going on, because that's how it is. The Gemini notices everything and tries to process it all intellectually, even if it's trivial to some. With all the mental energy happening, it may be tough to process the emotional or spiritual stimuli. Then, something in the environment happens, and a response occurs to trigger a change. One of the symbols for the sign is the butterfly, because of its nearly constant motion. A little relaxation and stress free weekend would help to work off some of the negative energy absorbed from the surroundings. Of course, they can't seem to shut off the internal dialog. If they could only still the thinking process for a short time, they'd have incredible realizations. The rewards are certainly worth the effort. Three words to live by: communicate, compliment, and commit. As I said, the parts of the body that come under Gemini's influence are the Hands, Arms and Lungs. This could be a reason many Geminis like to smoke, as it occupies all these body parts. But parts is parts and this can prevent one from seeing or even conceiving the bigger picture, like the possibility of lung cancer down the road. All of which brings us to one facet of the Gemini personality that drives people of other signs nuts: rationalization. Sometimes they'll make excuses when none were asked for because it's such a deeply ingrained habit. Or they may not offer any at all, probably because they know there's no reason for their failure to follow through on something they said they were going to do. It's easy to say things they believe at the time, but they can't always do what they said they were going to because something else always seems to come up. The dual personality can carry on two activities at once and is adept at intellectualizing, theorizing, gamesmanship, repetition and ratiocination (everything is as good as anything else since you'll be around later, repeating the cycle). This is understandable, especially considering Mercury is the ruling planet. He was constantly on the move, exchanging messages between the gods and mortals on Earth. Similarly, the symbology of the Twins, is another side of this glib, facile, say-one-thing-doanother type of personality.

The way around this is to make a commitment, a harsh word for a Gemini to hear, let alone utter. There are areas in life where this sign excels, fields of communication, writing (including musical composition), education, law, interpreter, and any field where versatility or extensive use of the hands are assets. One of the great athletes of the century, Jim Thorpe, was born under this sign. Not only did he play professional football and baseball, he also medalled in Ballroom Dancing at the Olympics. Had he lived today, he would put Dieon Sanders to shame. Other notable Geminis are Arthur Conan Doyle, Stravinsky, Walt Whitman, Christine Jorgensen, Bob Dylan, Ralph Waldo Emerson, John Wayne, Jfk, Frank Lloyd Wright, Robert Schumann, Paul Mccartney, Errol Flynn, Herman Wouk, M.C. Escher, Ian Fleming, and Benny Goodman. The binding factor in all these people is the area of communication. With a Gemini, if you can't talk, you better walk. Prepare to engage in heavy conversation! There's a brainstorm brewing and you are about to be deluged!!!
