Increased support for the Residence Hall Association and the Student Initiative Fund.
Miami University’s Student Government realizes the tough fiscal status the university faces and this year asks for no increase in its budget request. After seeing a 10.1% increase in the overall budget during the 2006-2007 academic year we project that in 2007 -2008 we will be able to internalize any extra annual increases such as wages and student organization requests.
ment would like to increase the amount disbursed to the over 300 student organizations, we are already working to provide a more efficient funding system with altered criteria pushing for collaboration across student organizations.
We have continued to fiscally support club sports after our 2006-2007 increase, and as we look forward, feel as if it is also important to increase the support for the Residence Hall Association and Student Initiative Fund. Student Government appreciates the support the University gives it, and will continue to aim for efficiency with the funds given to it.
