• The Sabaean Kingdom produced and traded in spices, Arabian frankincense, myrrh, and other Arabian aromatics. The Sabaeans excelled in agriculture and had a remarkable irrigation system with terraced mountains, incredible huge water tunnels in mountains and great dams including the legendary Ma'rib Dam, which was built around 2000 BCE. This Arab dam was considered to be one the greatest technological wonders of the ancient world. However, the tragic breaking of the Ma'rib Dam around 575, as indicated in the Qur'an, was an event of very traumatic proportions in the collective consciousness of all Arabs at the time and of later generations.

The Role of Islam in Implementing Cultural Civilized Society • Bad Moral ----> Better Life became more orderly and peaceful • There were some Islamic teachings which pushed people to have high civilization: – Islam took cared with brain or thinking. (QS. Al Imran: 189-190) – Obligation for men and women to seek knowledge. (QS. Al Mujadalah) – Islam prohibited people to have blind thinking, accept something before inspected first. (QS. Al Isro:36) – Islam asked the followers to make a new thing, create and give benefits for others.

– Islam asked the followers to seek the blessing of Allah with all the pleasure that already accepted and use it properly. (Al Qashash: 77) – Islam asked the followers to go outside, sharing knowledge, point of view and feeling. (QS. Al Hajj: 46) – Islam asked to examine the truth though came from out nation and other beliefs. (QS. Thaahaa: 17)
