Anb 76, Dominion Over Time

ANB 76, dominion over time (4-13-06) Happy Passover everyone, '"And God said, 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years." (Genesis 1:14). In this passage God implemented a way for man to tell time. I believe that this is God implementing time as a reality in the earth. It's not that God simply knows what time it always is, and that's why only man needs the stars. But rather, God lives outside of time. God created time for us. There will come a day when time will end. "And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, and sware by Him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer." (Revelation 10:4). God pronounced the beginning of time in the earth, in the first book of the Bible, and God has already pronounced the end of time in the earth, in the last book of the Bible. This Word expands past, present and future. God lives in all three at all times. Time is within the earth and applies to everything bound in the earth, but God is not bound to this earth, and neither are we. When I say we are not bound to this earth, I am talking only to Christians. Being bound to the earth means having a sin and death nature and being fully bound to earth and all natural forces. Praise the Lord, those words don't apply to Christians. Christians are already in Christ, who already sits at the right hand of God. We are citizens of Heaven. We happen to live here, but much of us can escape this natural realm. Most importantly, we are not bound by natural laws, and we are not bound to time. "And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." (Genesis 1:26) God gave man dominion over all the earth and everything that applies to the earth. Let me show you a person exercising his authority over time. "Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, 'Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, moon, in the valley of ajalon. And the sun stood still and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. . .So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel." (Joshua :10:12-14) Let me quickly deal with this last part. First of all I believe it was a poor translation, for I can show you several other times when God hearkened to the voice of a man (see Genesis 18 and Isaiah 38). Also, the possibility that this was the only time God fought for His people, or that this somehow is why He hearkened to Joshua, is also wrong. This we will return to. For now just focus on what Joshua did.

Joshua, exercising his God given Genesis 1 authority, commanded the sun and the moon, the two lights regulating daytime and nighttime in the earth, to stay still. He commanded time to stand still, for he wanted to finish the enemies off that day. Joshua commanded time, and time obeyed. We too have such dominion over time. Now, if you can receive it receive it. This process won't involve God hearkening to our voices anymore. The sun and the moon will hearken to our voices themselves, for we are gods on this earth. "I have said, you are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High." Psalms 82:6. "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, you are Gods.'" (John 10:34, Jesus speaking) You and I are the gods of this earth. God is God of all, He created this earth and told us to be like Him and have dominion, exercising our lordship over this earth. This lordship was lost when man bowed his knee to satan. This lordship was regained by The Man Jesus Christ when He took it back from satan and spoiled principalities and powers in hell. Glory, Hallelujah. He fought for us that day too, the battle for our salvation and our earthly authority (or godship) was won that day. Now all we have to do is believe and receive. So praise the Lord. Let's talk about what this means for us. Everything God will do for you He has already done. This is true for two reasons. First of all, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ." (Ephesians 1:3). We who are in Christ are already blessed with every spiritual blessing. God can't bless us anymore. Oh, you say God can do anything. Didn't you read, He has already blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing. What about a natural blessing, I hear my spirit ask. Well Jesus got that one for me too. "And God blessed (Adam and Eve), and God said unto them, 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it . . ." This was the original blessing on Adam, the natural blessing for man. Jesus got this back for me, or gave me access back into it, when He made a way for me to have the curse of sin be lifted from my back. Praise God. So every blessing, spiritual and natural is already on all Christians. You have to see yourself as blessed, empowered by God to prosper in every area of life, then begin operating accordingly. A blessed person is empowered by God to do things on God's level. He doesn't give us some rinky-dink starter blessing with training wheels. He gives us the POWER AND GLORY FROM HIS VERY THRONE. Wow, we can see it now. I am blessed and I am blessed now. Now back to time. Healing doesn't take months, it happens immediately. Financial growth and prosperity doesn't take years, it happens immediately. We can grow like no one can grow. What takes other people years we can do in weeks. Time is our tool. We can speed it up and slow it down as we wish. No, your second hand will keep ticking at the same speed, but you'll look back and know that your prayer was answered. Joshua, what a bold prayer. He didn't say to himself I'll try this and see if it works. He stood in front of all Israel and commanded the sun and moon. I bet they were watching. I bet many forgot about it. I bet they sensed no difference in time's passage at all with their natural senses, but looking back, they saw everything they desired accomplished in one day, a miracle, a slowed time.

Now, the second reason God has already done everything He ever will for you. God exists out of time. Let's say God is going to get you a new job, well He has already done it. Let's say God was going to heal you, well He's already done it. Example, Jesus was very open that He came to the lost sheep of Israel. But He healed some gentiles too. In reality, Jesus knew that His Sacrifice would mean access to God and God's blessing for gentiles. Jesus had read Psalm 67:1 and 2 which says, "God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His (The Messiah's) face to shine upon us . . .that Thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health upon all nations." So God would heal them too. When Jesus healed a gentile, like in Mark 7:24-30, He was speeding up time to get this reality for this woman. God has already done everything for you. So how can we know what He has done for us. We must read His Word, which shows us everything. We see what He has done for us, we believe it and confess it, then we see it in the natural realm. Praise God. His Word has already gone forth, and it has already accomplished it's purpose. Begin commanding time to work for you. Speak to it in the Name of Jesus Christ, for through Him alone are you in your correct position as this world's god. Get more done in your day, have certain events come quicker. Have time speed up for your business but slow down for your special time with family. Do them both in the same day. God is limitless and beyond natural understanding. This will take your life to a whole new level. Call in your blessings now, obtaining what God has already done for you. Believe this when you pray in Jesus' Name, "it has already happened" or "my prayer has already been answered." We are the gods of this earth and we are blessed. If we don't believe it we don't receive it. He has done everything, He already has. Praise the Lord.
