Welcome BBQ Attention delegates: book your flights for Saturday night or Sunday morning, because the party starts at 12 noon on Sunday and you won’t want to miss it! Held in UQ’s Natural Amphitheatre, the welcome registration barbeque will present delegates with their first opportunity to meet, greet and soak up AMUNC’s friendly atmosphere. Delegates will gather on the grassy hills beside the beautiful UQ lakes to eat, drink, socialize... and of course, register for the conference. As with all conference events, the food provided will be as sustainable as possible (that means kangaroo meat!), as well as catering for all dietary and cultural needs. Hang around to join us at UQ’s ‘Second Degree’ bar at 5pm that evening. We’ll be putting on live music for AMUNC delegates.

That’s M.A.D. That’s the Crisis Council.

Information for INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES With AMUNC 2009 less than three months away, it’s important that you check the requirements in gaining a right of entry to Australia. If you are from an ETA or eVisitor eligible country (most European countries, the USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong) you can apply online at least two weeks before your departure date. If you are from a non-ETA or eVisitor country you will need to apply for a Business (Short Stay) Visa (Subclass 456) in order to enter Australia. 456 visas can take a while to process, so you need to make sure you apply as soon as possible. We are committed to helping delegates with the visa process. What we can help you with: • Provide general information about the visa and application process • Provide you with a Letter of Invitation to include in your application • Assist in liaising with your nearest Australian Embassy What we cannot help you with: • Lodge your application for you or pay the application fee • Sponsor your visit • Provide a personal reference to support your application Email us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
