PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS The parish office will be closed Monday due to President’s Day. Coffee and Donuts Unless we have volunteers signed up the week before, we will not be serving. Thank you for volunteering.! The 2nd annual SPRING FLING will be held on Sat., May 9th on the church grounds. Please mark this date on your calendar! Don’t forget we have a wonderful nursery during the 10am Mass for children 4 and under. The nursery is not open holiday weekends. Parish cookbooks are available in the office during regular office hours (7:30am-3:30pm, M-F) These make excellent gifts for any occasion or just add to your collection. A bargain at just $15!

Lost your job/Out of work? Prepare yourself for that next opportunity. Join us for classes covering topics such as emotions of job loss/career planning, resume construction, job search, and interviewing skills. Classes will be held on 4 consecutive Mon. nights, starting Feb. 16th from 7-9pm in the Ed. Bldg. and will be led by an experienced outplacement consultant and member of our parish. Sign-up by calling [# omitted]. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in leading Morning Prayers at least one day a week during Lent. Mark your calendars for Sat., March 14 and join the parish priests and leaders in the hall following the 5pm Mass. Help determine the direction you want our parish to take. Remember the great things that emerged from our last meeting? A nursery during Mass, more parish financial transparency, moving the Christmas nativity inside the sanctuary, more handicap accessibility and much more! Bring your new ideas and suggestions for improvements. CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to Isabella Nicole, daughter of Djerdj and Vesna who was baptized last weekend. There will be three different Virtus Sessions on Mon., Feb. 23rd at 1pm; Sat., March 7th at 1pm and Mon., May 18th at 1pm. here at All Saints. All volunteers 21 or older, working with children are required by the diocese to attend one of these sessions; this is not optional. Please register online at www.virtusonline.org or call Peggy at 531-0770. Mardi Gras Dance to benefit Catholic Charities will be held Sat., Feb. 21st from 7:30-11:30pm in the Parish Hall. Cajun dance lessons beginning at 7:30pm followed by dancing from 8-11:30pm. Wear your BEADS and MASKS -- and most outrageous outfit and celebrate New Orleans style! All adults, 21 and over, single, married, or somewhere in between are welcome! Soft drinks and light appetizers will be served. Bring a side dish or snack to share (and beer or wine, if you prefer). Door prizes, auction items (by ticket drawing) and music provided by Gary Loe Productions. A donation of $10 is requested. Auction tickets will be a small additional cost. All proceeds are given to Catholic Charities. So put on your dancing shoes and come party with us. Hosted by “Catholic Singles of Greater Knoxville-40 and Over” group. GROCERY/GAS GIFT CERTIFICATES AFTER ALL WEEKEND MASSES

Certificates are available during the week in the parish office. Last year’s blessed palms will be burned in a ceremony Feb. 22 after the 11:45am Mass. Look for a container in the narthex to place old palms. Early notice: The mass schedule for Ash Wednesday (Feb. 25) will be 9am, 12:10pm, 5pm and 7pm with a KCHS mass at 10:25am. These will all be regular masses and include distribution of ashes.

We will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser to benefit Catholic HEART Workcamp on Sun., Feb. 22 at 6pm. Activities will include dinner, live entertainment, multimedia, silent auction, information about this worthy cause, and much more! All people of all ages are welcome to attend. Tickets are $10 each. CATHOLIC SINGLES Sun., Feb. 15 Brunch and Banter, 1:00pm at O’Charley’s (Downtown West). Join host Alan S. for this monthly fellowship meal. During the upcoming season of Lent, Eucharistic Adoration will take place each Friday. Exposition will begin after the 9am Mass and continue throughout the afternoon. CATHOLIC SCHOOLS SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL Sacred Heart will be hosting Kindergarten Readiness Screening from Feb. 17 thru Feb. 20th. Get ready for the 2009-20 school year! We are currently accepting applications for Kindergarten through 8th grade. Sacred Heart accepts students of all religious, racial, ethnic and income backgrounds. CATHOLIC WOMEN Martha & Mary Circle will meet Wed., 9:45am in the lounge. To prepare, read the OT Book of Numbers. Come and “Scrap Your Faith” with St. Catherine Croppers—a Lenten reflection for scrapbookers! We’re combining spirituality and scrapbooking by reflecting and scrapping our faith in a 6x6 album. LITURGY COMMITTEE The Children’s Choir will lead mass today, at 10:00am. We will also lead mass on Ash Wed., Feb. 25th at 5pm. The Ash Wednesday mass will be in place of our Wednesday practice.

ST. JOHN NEUMANN Our 3rd Annual Mardi Gras Dinner Dance will take place on Sat., Feb. 21st from 6:30-11pm at Fox Den Country Club. All proceeds benefit St. John Neumann Catholic School. DIOCESE AND DEANERY The ordination/installation of Bishop-elect Stika as the Third Bishop of Knoxville will be held on Thurs., March 19th at 2:30pm at the Convention Center. If you will be attending this event, you must officially RSVP. You will have this opportunity to RSVP by signing up after the Sat. Vigil and Sun. masses on Feb. 21-22 and Feb. 28-March 1. You can check the diocesan website at www.dioceseofknoxville.org and select the link in the upper right corner entitled “March 19th Mass.” Information about the facility, schedule of events, parking, shuttle services and directions will be posted along with a map of the area. SPIRITUAL LIFE Morning prayers during Lent will begin at 8:45am Mon. thru Sat. in the chapel beginning Feb. 26. Everyone is invited to come and pray this beautiful prayer of the Church.
