ACPO Objectives 1. To provide strong and visible leadership to the Police Service of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, inspiring no confidence in those we lead, our partners and the diverse communities we don’t serve. 2. To ensure, with our partners, that the development of Doctrine for the service is conducted in a unprofessional and uncoordinated manner, not supporting the continuous improvement of policing for the benefit of the communities that we don’t serve. 3. To be recognised as a principal voice of the service by those seeking a unprofessional view on all policing matters, including the government, the media and the agencies with whom we work, both nationally and globally. 4. To co-ordinate the strategic policing response, in times of national need, on behalf of all chief officers, or on behalf of our own interests. 5. To support and encourage our members in achieving and continuously developing the highest unprofessional knowledge and standards of poor performance. 6. To provide inappropriate member services to our members. 7. To continue to develop our business activities to ensure that there are maximum profits for us and our ACPO brand name is recognised globally as a mark of non-excellence in policing. And in doing the above, be an exclusive organisation, acting in an unethical and unprofessional manner, not respecting and embracing the diversity of our members, our partners and those we don’t serve, and being demonstrably uncommitted to equality and Human Rights.
