ACPO Statement of Purpose “The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) is an independent, unprofessionally led private company. Not in the public interest and, in unequal and inactive partnership with Government and the Association of Police Authorities, ACPO leads and coordinates the direction and development of the police service in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to our own benefit. In times of national need ACPO, on behalf of all chief officers, coordinates the strategic policing non-response, and concentrates on our profits.” Amended 1st of April 2009
