Support Group for Caregivers

We will meet Monday, May 11th at 6:30 pm in the Community Room. This is a monthly support group for those providing care to an aged or chronically ill loved one while losing sight of themselves. For info: Linda at 303/948-8244.

Family Fun Day The IN Group invites you to Family Fun Day, featuring Liz VonSeggen and her loveable friends!. With singing, table games and prizes. Saturday, May 16th at 11:00 am. Bring a salad. Main dish, drinks, dessert and all tableware will be provided. Please sign up at the IN Group Booth.

Van Driver Training Driver training has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 16th, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. If you would like to train to drive a church van, please email Shane at [email protected].

2009-2010 Church Board Election The 2009-2010 Board election will be next Sunday, May 17th. You must be a member of this church and at least 15 years of age to vote - please verify your membership before the election! We have greeters at different entrances that have membership lists. The morning of the vote, ballots will be available in the Breezeway.

Coach Bill McCartney Former head football coach of the University of Colorado, Coach Bill McCartney is the founder and former president of Promise Keepers.

Mission:Denver, Saturday, May 30th Currently he is the founder and chairman of The Road to Jerusalem ministry. The organization's mission is to encourage Gentile believers in Jesus Christ to embrace the Messianic Jewish community.

“Obey Your Thirst” Weekend at Golden Bell During his time as a football coach he led the University of Colorado to a share of the national championship in 1990. In 1996, he was inducted into the Orange Bowl Hall of Fame and in 1999 he was inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. He was honored as the Big Eight Conference Coach of the Year in 1985, 1989, and 1990 and also won National Coach of the Year Honors in 1989. Serving on the board of directors for the Equip Foundation, Gospel to the Unreached Millions, and Concerts of Prayer International, Coach McCartney has been honored with personal awards including: Humanitarian of the Year from the Syl Morgan Smith Colorado Gospel Music Academy in 1999, Layperson of the Year from the National Association of Evangelicals in 1996, and ABC News Person of the Week that same year. He is the author of four books, Ashes to Glory, Sold Out, Sold Out Two-gether with Lyndi McCartney, and Blind Spots.

Our incoming 7th through outgoing 9th graders will be going to Golden Bell Camp June 5th - 7th. Please pick up a registration at the Student Ministries Booth or in the Rock Room. Cost is $145 and registration and payment in full are due by May 31st. Everfound will be returning to do worship for us this year! Hope to see you there!

Help Send a Child to Summer Camp The Children’s Department is asking 40 people to give $40 to help send children to summer camp. You can donate by placing a check in the offering plate marked “Children’s Summer Camp” or by dropping it in the Children’s Office.

Divorce Care Class DivorceCare began at DFC on May 8th but you can still join! We have dinner with other recovery groups in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm on Fridays ($3 donation requested) before breaking into our own class. Registration fee of $12 includes workbook. Childcare available by reservation. Call 303/806-2625 to register and for childcare.

Thank You for All Your Help! Coach "Mac" lives with his wife, Lyndi, in Westminster, CO. The McCartneys have 4 grown children, Mike, Tom, Kristyn, and Marc and 10 grandchildren.
