Two people enter and ask Scrooge for charity for the poor. A caroler sung at his door, the he scared the caroler away. He then tells Bob to work on Christmas Day and he went home.Scrooge eats dinner at a tavern, then goes to his home. Scrooge saw a

dead Marley face in the knocker of his door until it went away. It gave him a pause, but he chose not to be frightened. Then he warms himself by a small fire. A bell in the room starts to ring and after that all the other bells ringed too. After a while the bells stop, and Scrooge hears the cellar door open.Marleys ghost transparent and he was in long chains made of keys, padlockers, etc. Scrooge claims he doesnt believe the ghost exist but he soon admits he does. Marley says his spirit was wandering since he died as punishment for being with business and not with people. He came to warn Scrooge because he has the same fate. Scrooge looks it the window and sees the fog to be filled with with chained spirits. He then goes to sleepHe wakes up and wonders if he slept through the day and another night. Then a light comes in the room and a small-like old man appears. He introduced himself as the Ghost of the Christmas Past. He says he is there for Scrooges welfare and reclamation. He was affected by the memory, and he walks to town with the ghost. They see schoolboys and the ghost explains that the people they see are just people of the past and they dont see him and Scrooge. The ghost then shows Scrooge that one boy that was ignored in school is alone and Scrooge cried. They walk into a school house then they see a young Scrooge reading alone by a small fire. The older Scrooge cried again, and he regrets ignoring the boy caroling last night. The ghost says he will see another Christmas and the young Scrooge grows larger as the room becomes dirtier. Fan enters the room and announced she is bringing him home for Christmas as their father is much kinder than he used to be. Fezziwig gives Scrooge and another worker a night off for Christmas Eve. Scrooge and his friend clean up and built a fire. Then he remembered that he was just revisiting the scene with the ghost. Scrooge tells the ghost that Fezziwig giving happiness to his friends is more important the the money he spent.Scrooge now sees and older version of himself in his prime. Then the scene changed with belle now a mother of a brood of children. Her husband told her that he saw Scrooge sitting on his office window.. Scrooge then asked and beg the ghost to take him back to the present. Then he sank into a heavy sleep for he was conscious that he was exhausted and overcomed by and irresistible drowsiness.

Reflection We should focus on how is our life going to be instead of our desire for money. We shouldn’t be greedy and we shouldn’t be affected by the past but we should focus more on our present and how it will affect our future.
