Ministry Wives’ Series FWBBC will sponsor a seven-part “Ministry Wives” event this fall. The special sessions for women students and recent graduates will meet Thursday evenings (6:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m.) in the President’s Home beginning September 17. Mrs. Melinda Pinson (President Pinson’s wife) and Mrs. Donna Forrest (Terry Forrests’ wife) will host the series. Sessions will address topics such as knowing yourself, God’s plan for you, understanding your mate, hospitality, the home, parenting, and more. The series is geared to women students who are dating or married to men in various ministries, as well as those who want to prepare for future Christian service. If you are interested in attending, call Mrs. Pinson at 386-398. Invite a friend.

Day of Silence Friday, September 11 is a day of silence for all members of societies.

Ready for “Fall” Baseball? Jerod McNeal invites all college guys who want to play “Fall” Baseball to meet him Thursday evening at 10:30 p.m. in the gym. If you have a conflict, contact him at [email protected]. The first game may be as early at September 12.

Call Center Positions Filled EMT thanks the students who applied to work in the FWBBC Call Center. All positions have now been filled.

Voice Mail Sign-Up Time Dorm students who want to receive phone voice mail in their rooms may sign up after chapel through next week. Instructions for phone use are in the back of Handbook/Datebook.

Debate Time Hear/see the April 4 debate between atheist Christopher Hitchens and Christian apologist William Lane Craig. See the video Sunday, September 13 (6:00 p.m.) at Cross Timbers FWB Church.

Rush Week September 7-11

Join the Block Party The BLOCK PARTY is schedule Friday afternoon. Supper begins at 5:00 p.m.; parade to follow. Mark Baynes will be in concert in the auditorium. Pick up your ticket ($5) for Strike and Spare following the Block Party.

Chapel Reminders 1. Always have your ID with you so you can scan in. 2. Put cell phones away in chapel. 3. No food or drink in the auditorium. 4. Fill out a Chapel Request Form if you work on days you do not have classes. Forms are in Student Services.

Apartment for Rent Leroy and Fay Forlines have a furnished apartment to rent about a mile from FWBBC. If you are interested and would like more details, call them at 292-8709.

Georgia Students’ Deal FWBBC students who are members of a Georgia Free Will Baptist church may apply for a scholarship from the Georgia State Association of Free Will Baptists. Applications available in Financial Aid Office (second floor, Administration Building). Scholarship applications must be completed and returned to Financial Aid by Tuesday, September 8.

Drama Auditions Drama auditions for a night of comedy sketches and plays will be held Tuesday, September 8 in Thigpen Theater (1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.). Sign-up at the receptionist’s desk for an audition time. For further information, contact AnnaGee Harris at [email protected].

September 14 Christian Service assignments begin.

BIG ‘Thank You’ Please take time to say a big “Thank You” to the Maintenance Department Staff and Cleaning Staff for the excellent job they did (and continue to do) getting the campus ready for the fall semester. Even though they were short-handed, the staff did a superb job making the campus look great and everyone proud of the buildings and grounds.
