Student Body Revival Comments— Chaplain Zach Maloney I wanted to give a brief summary of last week’s Campus Revival with Tommy Swindol. Jeff Caudill kicked off Wednesday night by speaking on “A Dare to Let God Know Your Inner-most Thoughts” from Psalm 139. Although it was a change in plans, the Hymn Chapel on Thursday was a blessing and encouragement. Thanks to Miss Rasar for putting that together. Brother Tommy got everything rolling Thursday evening by speaking on “Persecution.” His main thought was that Christians need to examine themselves and make sure they are doing hard things when it comes to living for the Lord. He continued Friday during chapel with a sermon on “Availability: Here Am I, Send Me.” Friday night was the revival capstone as Swindol’s message on “Anguish” gripped out hearts and encouraged us to see those around us (saved and unsaved) who are hurting. He reminded us that revival is not contained in an event. Several made decisions Friday evening. True unity of spirit was felt as we met in the Student Center to discuss how the Student Body could apply what had been said. I appreciate the messages and how they spoke to our hearts. I am eager to see God use this Student Body as we yield ourselves to Him. I thank Matt Munsey for directing us in worship through music.

Lady Flames Cancel Basketball Season

Pick-up Your Flames Schedule in

Common Grounds or

Cumberland Cafeteria

The 2009-2010 Lady Flames basketball season has been cancelled due to player injuries and a smaller than usual pool of players, according to Gary Turner, athletic director at FWBBC. “We regret having to cancel the Lady Flames season,” Turner said. “This is a disappointment for the Athletic Department and the promising players who are here this year.” The Lady Flames are less than three years removed from their 2007 championship season when they won the ACCA Division II women’s basketball national title. However, injuries and a smaller player pool prevented first-year coach Jared Owen from fielding a team. Coach Owen will continue to serve as assistant men’s basketball coach. Efforts are underway to recruit Lady Flames players for next year. Student Body Theme

This Is The Generation: Be The One This is the generation of them that seek him that seek your face… (Psalm 24:6).
