Dessert Comedy Theater The Evangel Players will present a delightful evening of comedy and delicious dessert. Take a break from studies to enjoy the comedic writings of Mark Twain, David Ives, Anton Chekhov, and others. The fun and laughter take place in Thigpen Theater on October 23-24 at 7:00 p.m. Admission: $2. Space limited; purchase tickets soon. Tickets go on sale Thursday, October 8 before and after chapel.

Graduating Students: Exit Exams All students (Associates and Bachelors) who anticipate completing studies at FWBBC during the 2009-2010 school year are required to take “Senior Exit Exams.” See Mr. Wayne Spruill to sign up for one of three dates: December 1, 2009; February 15, 2010; March 2, 2010. Note: This is an all-day event. Contact Mr. Spruill at 844-5078 for more information.

Complete Financial Aid Financial Aid in process must be completed no later than mid-term each semester.

Students who have unpaid class or society dues will be contacted by the treasurer of those organizations and by Dr. Forlines. Dues are $10 for each organization and must be paid by fall break. Final exams cannot be taken until dues are paid.

Two games this weekend. Friday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. at Granny White Pike Baseball Complex. Directions: Take I-440 East toward Knoxville. Merge onto I65 South via Exit 5 toward Huntsville. Merge onto Old Hickory Blvd. via Exit 74-B toward Brentwood. Turn left onto Granny White Pike; 610 Granny White Pike on the left. Polston Hall and Goen Hall dormitories are closed during all vacation breaks (Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring). Find a place to stay off campus if you cannot go home.

Volleyball Season

Project Pumpkin

Coach Daniel Sanders reminds everyone that the Lady Flames Volleyball season closes at the end of October. The team has persevered through injury and a 2/12 win/loss record. Five regular season games remain before the Regional Tournament.

While you are home, collect candy and goodies for your booth at Project Pumpkin. Consult with your society to determine items you need to collect.

Rescheduled • The October 7 Blood Drive was cancelled by the American Red Cross due to a shortage of personnel. There may be an opportunity for you to give blood at the American Red Cross facility. • The Wii/Xbox/Movie Night sponsored by Student Services will be rescheduled in November.

Polston Happenings • October 23 Musical Movie Night ( Polston Lounge); showing at 9:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. • PST (Polston Stretch Time) every Wednesday, 10:00 p.m., Polston Lounge.

Fall Kids Fest Date: Saturday, October 10 Time: 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Place: Red Caboose Park in Bellevue Directions from FWBBC: Right onto West End. At the split (Hwy 100/70), take 70 (right split). Stay on 70 until intersection of Cross Timbers Drive. Turn left. Red Caboose Park on the left approximately 20 minutes from FWBBC. Concert: Concert follows Kids Fest at 7:00 p.m.
