spent by 10 = 35*10 =350. Let us assume their average to be X. X = [350 +(X+20)] / 11 11X = 350+X+20 10X = 370 or X = 37. Thus money spent by 11th is 57. thus total money spent is 350+57 = 407 answer. www.afterschoool.tk

solve this question, find the difference between the numbers:  The difference is 73-39 = 34  90-73 = 17.  Find HCF of 17 &34 = 17  Answer = 17.

What remainder will you get when you divide 2^63 by 5?   

Unit digits in power of 2 are as under: 2^1 = 2, 2^2 = 4, 2^3 = 8, 2^4 = 16, 2^5 = 32, 2^6=64, 2^7 = 128 or 8 2,4,8,6,2,4,8,6, and so on when the power is 1,2,3,4,5, and so on. The power repeats after every 4 digits. Divide 63 by 4, we get 3 as remainder. At 3rd level we have remainder 8. Thus when power will be 63, unit digit will be 8. thus remainer will be 8-5 = 3 answer.

4X +13Y, 5X+7Y+4, 3X-7Y+2, 4X+7Y+9 Solution: when we assume value of X = 2, and Y = 1, the equation is divisible by 13. similarly, when we take value of X = 4 and Y = 2, the equation is divisible by 13. 4X+7Y +9 is divisible by 13 with the values X = 4 and Y =2. (thus this is answer).

Banker’s discount – true discount = banker’s gain. Let us assume amount is Rs. 1000. Banker’s discount = 1000*10*5/100 = 500 True discount = amt – present value Present value = (1000*100) / (100+10*5)= 100000/150 = 666. thus true discount = 333. Banker’s gain is 167. 1000/167*450 = 2700 Banker’s discount = 2700*10*5/100 = 1350.
