Aziz “dirty litlle man” apologizes that he can’t join us. He had to do some dark business in Dubaï  So Steffi will be our chairperson for this meeting! 1- Brief CR Presentations We ask all ILO’s to put their Country reports on the yahoogroup in the next two weeks for the ILO’s who haven’t got a password please contact Aziz! I’m not going to write everything down about the CR otherwise the report would be to long :-p. We receive from Christian a verry nice “Wimpel” or banner of his club, thanks!!!! 2- Tasks Follow-up a. LEO MAGAZINE Only 2 articles! We voted last time to write something about a crazy or outstanding activity. We voted that next time there will be no topic. So you can write what you want. (please send pictures with your article) Let us see….. :-s So send your article to Andrea: [email protected] The fourth issue Agnes will be responsible again. b. LEO WEBSITE Thanks to Germany! We get a free server! Marion will be the project leader! She will make a schedule for this project!

T-shirts Marion brought the T shirts with her, you can order it by sending an e-mail to: [email protected] There are Bordeaux and there are woman and men sizes. 3- LEO’s International Project ( aka. LEO Europa Project ) a. Suggested Ideas for projects The last topic was warmth to children. It’s very hard to find a project, a lot of discussion so I write you the conclusion. Two options: We do something our self or we participate in the project of Oakbroak. A lot of ILO’s didn’t know that there was a international project of Oakbroak. We can choose 4 options we must check out the international Lions website! There was somewhere something wrong with the communication… :-s Can we decide that every country choose 1 project or will we decide for all the countries??? Still another point: Witch country will take part? Check out with your MD We must not forget that this is one of the most important actions for us, so the Lions can see what we can do! The best thing is to start small and when they see how we work we will get bigger and bigger. FINAL CONCLUSION: Let your country vote on the national convention: Do you want a LEP? So next year we will start with the project… b. Project Manager Christian and Erik 4- CEEW & MED WORKSHOP a. CEEW, Updates (Central Eastern European Workshop) We’re not going to have one this year. Agnes will see for next year… For 2008, countries like Serbia, Bulgaria or Russia if they would like to host it. b. MED Workshop Information 15th – 18th March, 2007 in Monastir/Tunisia. Infos can be obtained from Aziz Mitry [email protected]. 5- New LEO Countries – NEW ILO’s Aziz is keeping a good contact with Tunisia and Bulgaria. Russia is also present! Servië: Agnes: They are very active, perhaps that they will go to a future meeting. They want to know more about us. Denmark: Steffi: They have one leo club in Aarhus-North! The Leo advisor told that they want to start more Leo clubs. (with the youth program) Hong Kong: Steffi is waiting for more information… Spain: Christian: Opus D is very strong there and they are doing the networking. We will try to make a better contact. Jean Pierre from Swiss will join him for the NC of the Lions. So we can introduce ourselves! Finland is in contact with Norway! Macedonia: Erik will be the contact person. 2 or 3 clubs…. 8- NEXT MEETING 2 for MED, 5 for Egypt, 3 blank votes So the next ILO meeting will take place during the Sharm-El-Sheikh Leo Weekend. 9- News from Oak Brook There might be a new grant to organize a national Leo conference worth USD 2000. Leos are “affiliated partners” as it is mentioned on the Web site, but it is not obvious what the difference to the status before is. Age limit has been left for the national boards to be voted upon. At the international convention in Chicago there will be an official forum for Leos. Eberhard Wirfs, candidate for 2nd Vice International President, will attend the ILO meeting during LEF. It will be a great opportunity to show the valuable work of ILOs and to underline their position. 11- Other Business We receive an invitation for the NC of Germany if you are interested you can contact Kerstin: [email protected] Lilli Streilau has contacts to a girl in Beslan who would like to join LEF but who needs sponsorship. Jenni told us if we want to drive at the Porsche factory we can reserve it in advance. Giovanni asked if it’s possible to organize sightseeing in other city’s during after the LEF like Berlin,… because a lot of people are coming by car. Turkey asks for (free) Internet connections during LEF in August, because Leos will need Internet to research information, check emails, etc.
