Hong Kong is getting into the festive spirit tonight. -tens of thousands of people are gathering on both side of the Harbour to celebrate -Nearly half a million people are expected to be eat in the streets celebrating Christmas. 2 the biggest party drug bust of the holiday season -police have seized more than five million dollars worth of the party drugs -police arrested a 19 years-old man in Mong Kok. -He was caught carrying half a kilo of Ketamine during a routine stop and search -He later led police to his flat nearby where police seized more than 3000 ecstasy tablets. 3. Special crowd control measures are in place to make sure every goes smoothly -preparations began early this morning for the man Christmas event outside the cultural centre in Tsim Sha Tsui where massive crowds are gathering to night -Extra barriers have been put up and signs are in place warning people against -several roods in Tsim Sha Tsui have been closed off traffic since 5pm -KCR and MTR ran every night 4. It looks like it will really be happy holidays for retailers who say that people are spending more this season than have in a decade -Hong Kong’s economy is booming and people have more spending power, which means they’re really splurging this Christmas season -Retailers are predicting a turnover of $20.6 billion, slight more than in 1997 5. Iran is hitting back and pushing on with its nuclear programmer after the UN Securlty Council voted unanimensly to impose sanctions on Techran last night. -the writing was on the wall after Iran defied the world by refusing to meet a UN deadline in August to stop uranlum enrichment- something it is allowed to do under The Nuclear Non- Proliferation agreement. -
