**Beginning MARCH 1, 2010 there will be no drop-in ADMISSIONS available after 3pm and NO LATE RATE drop-in Admissions will be AVAILABLE. Members only from 3pm to close daily! 1. What will happen to my annual or continuous membership during the renovations? a) Continue to use the facility! The two annex buildings of Talisman Centre will be open, and your membership will still be valid through 2010. We’d love to have you! b) Alternatively, members who wish to do so may suspend their membership (and payments), and then re-activate the membership when Talisman Centre’s main building re-opens in 2011. With this option, the 2009 rates will be “locked-in” for the duration of 2011. Come to the Customer Service Desk to fill out a membership suspension form. c) You can cancel your membership for a pro-rated refund. 2. What is the difference between canceling my membership and suspending my membership? If you choose to cancel your membership you will not be eligible for the 2009 prices when we relaunch in 2011. If you choose to suspend your membership you are doing so with the intent to come back when we re-launch in 2011. By choosing the suspension option you are also locking in to the 2009 prices for the remainder of 2011. 3. If I choose to suspend my membership, what is the process to reactivate it? In late 2010 we will contact you to let you know when you are eligible to re-activate your membership. You will have two months after we reopen in which to notify us if you want your membership reactivated. 4. What if I don’t get back to you within that two month period? If you don’t notify us when you want to reactivate your membership before the two-month time period is up, you will no longer be eligible for the 2009 prices. 5. How long will I receive the 2009 prices? 2009 prices will only be available until the end of 2011. Any price increases will be effective January 1st, 2012. 6. What if I have a 1-month membership, 4-month membership, or 10-card pass? The 4 month membership option will only be available for sale until December 31st, 2009. If you have a current 4-month prepaid membership and wish to cancel at the time of renovations you may do so and receive a pro-rated refund. Single month membership and 10-Card pass holders will be able to use their passes in the facility during renovations.

Executive Membership FAQs 1. I would like to continue to use the facility during renovation. What locker rooms are available during this time? As of March 1st, the executive locker rooms will become part of our public locker rooms for 2010. All executive members can access available temporary drop-in public lockers during facility enhancement for as long as their membership is valid (See maps pages 12-13 for temporary locker room location). 2. I am a current executive member. Will my spot be guaranteed when you reopen? If you put your membership on hold or use your membership during facility enhancement, you will have the first right of refusal for a spot in our executive locker rooms when we reopen. 3. How does the first right of refusal work? We will have a list of all the executive members who have either put their membership on hold or are using their membership. During the late fall in 2010 we will contact these individuals and inform them when the executive memberships will be re-activated and offer them a spot. 4. If I don’t make a decision when you contact me how long will my spot be held? You will have up until April 1st, 2011 to contact us about whether or not you want to reactivate your executive membership. If we don’t hear from you by this time you will forfeit your spot to the next member on the list. 5. If I decide to cancel my membership will I have to go on the waitlist with everyone else? Yes, you will be put on the waitlist. 6. What if my executive membership expires before January 31st, 2010? To put your executive membership on hold during facility enhancement it must be active as of January 31st, 2010. To access public facilities during facility enhancement, you must present a valid executive membership card. 7. I’m currently an executive member who has paid for the executive locker room longer than it is open for. Will I get my money back? Within the next few months we will be going through all of our executive memberships and issuing refunds for those members who have paid for their executive membership beyond the locker room closure date of January 31st, 2010. 8. I understand Talisman Centre has negotiated referral agreements within partner facilities that will accept me as an executive member during renovation. What are the costs and where can I find more information about this option? The three facilities we have agreements with are the Bow Valley Club, Bankers Hall Club, and Fitness on 5th. For details and contact info see advertisments next page.

Childcare FAQs 1. When will Childcare be ending? We will be unable to offer Childcare Services at Talisman Centre after February 15th, 2010. We are anticipating that the Facility Enhancement Project will take from January 1st, 2010 until December 31, 2010. 2. Will Childcare start back up after the enhancement project? Yes, our intention is to resume Childcare services in the first quarter of 2011. 3. Where can my children go when I work out? We are happy to direct parents to Childcare services in the area, but Talisman Centre is unable to offer Childcare in 2010. A partial list of Childcare options in the area will be provided upon request. 4. Will there be any daytime children’s classes running in conjunction with Group Fitness so I can still work out and have my child looked after? No, there will not be any children’s classes running in 2010 other than Summer Sport Camps. 5. Can’t you move Childcare and run it in another location? We thoroughly evaluated all possible options and scenarios that would allow Childcare to continue through construction. Unfortunately, there are no safe and cost-effective options that would allow this to happen. 6. You finally have a consistent program with good Childcare staff. How are you going to get them back? We love our staff, and we don’t want them to go far! Human Resources may be redeploying Childcare staff elsewhere in the facility during the construction phase of our facility enhancement project, which could mean they may not leave at all. Childcare will resume in the year following construction, and we will do everything in our power to get our team back. We are actively working with our Human Resources department to ensure that sufficient incentive and retention strategies are in place such that our excellent people will return as soon as Childcare resumes. 7. What happens to the Childcare passes I’ve purchased? Childcare passes will remain valid. They can be used until Childcare ends on February 15th, 2010, and will remain valid when Childcare starts up again after construction is complete. We will offer full refunds on any unused Childcare cards to any participants who wish to return them.

Group Fitness FAQs 1. How did you select which classes would remain, and which ones would be on hiatus for 2010? A number of factors were carefully considered in order to create a schedule for 2010. We will be unable to use any of the gyms or pools that are currently found under the tented portion of Talisman Centre. The space that will be available must be shared by members, the public, and Talisman Centre’s Sport Partners. (To mitigate this strain, there will be no drop-ins after 3:00pm.) In addition, the available parking lot space will be significantly reduced, and the childcare services that many of our group fitness participants rely on will not be offered in 2010. Since our facility will not be able to accommodate the same number of customers as we currently do, we have adjusted our schedule accordingly, so that the customers will continue to enjoy the best possible experience at Talisman Centre through 2010. 2. When will the schedule change for the Aquatics classes? The 2010 aquatics schedule will take effect on January 1st, 2010. 3. When will the schedule change for the Dryland classes? Cycling and Yoga classes will move to their new location on January 1, 2010. The full 2010 dryland schedule will take effect in February, 2010. Further details will be published when they are available. 4. What is the Group Fitness Schedule for 2010? Please see the schedule on the adjacent page. (Note: The white space in this schedule indicates that the time is reserved by one of Talisman Centre’s Sport Partners or other User Groups. This schedule was accurate at the time of publication, but is subject to change.) 5. Will the classes that are on hiatus in 2010 return in 2011? It is our intention to return as many existing classes as possible when the main tented portion of Talisman Centre re-opens in 2011. We will not have exact details or scheduling information until we are closer to the grand re-opening date. 6. Where can I take a Ripped class in the city? We understand the popularity of our Ripped classes and the passion of its attendees. Nutrition Services FAQs 1. What changes to the nutrition services can I expect with the roof replacement? Nutrition Services will continue during the roof replacement. Check out the options on the adacent page and for Nutrition and Personal Training Combo Packages available see page 19. 2. Do I have to be a member of Talisman Centre to use the nutrition services? Anyone can book an appointment for nutrition sessions or programs. If you are a Talisman Centre member you receive a 10% discount. 3. Will the available times to access nutrition services be affected by the reduced space? Not at all. Appointments are scheduled on an individual basis, with consideration as to what works best for both the client and Dietitian. Nutrition services will continue to be offered in a confidential location within the building. 4. How do I set up an appointment with the Registered Dietitian? For all inquires for nutrition services and programs or to set up an appointment please contact Kelly Drager at (403) 355–1281 or email [email protected].

Volunteers FAQs 1. What will happen with Talisman Centre volunteers? The decision has been made to suspend the volunteer program at Talisman Centre during 2010. The volunteer program will remain as it currently operates until the tent closure on February 28, 2010. 2. Won’t Talisman Centre need volunteers in 2010? By closing the tented portion of Talisman Centre, our facility is effectively reduced by 60%. With the reduction in space comes a reduction in the number of available positions. We value our talented employees, but we simply could not keep all of them when we have such a reduction in space. It wouldn’t seem fair to offer positions to volunteers in 2010 when we are unable to retain the majority of our current employees. 3. Can I volunteer again when Talisman Centre reopens in 2011? The Management team will be reviewing the volunteer program in 2010 and making decisions for 2011. When we know more about what the volunteer program will look like in 2011, we will make that information available on our website. 4. Can I use my Talisman Centre membership in 2010? You are welcome to use your volunteer membership until December 31st, 2009. After that time, due to the constraints on space and personnel, we won’t be able to extend that benefit into 2010.
