SELECTION PROCEDURE: 11. After scrutiny of applications, eligible candidates will be called for Common Entrance Test (CET) which will be conducted at the centres mentioned above on 29 Nov 2009 (Sunday). CET will have objective and descriptive questions to test the knowledge in English and General Awarness, CET has two parts, namely Part A- Multiple Choice Questions: English & General Awarness & Part BDescriptive Test in English (comprehension passage, letter and paragraph writing). Candidates are to appear for CET at their own expense. Once finalised, details of short-listed candidates based on CET results will be displayed on our website www.careerairforce.nic.in. 12. Candidates who are short-listed on the basis of CET will be called for Personality Test at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) situtated at Dehradun, Mysore & Varanasi. Testing at AFSBs consists of two Stages: Stage I Test consisting of Intelligence Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT) will be conducted on the first day. Stage I Test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo Stage II testing. Others would be sent back on the first day itself. Stage II tests consisting of Psychological Test, Group Test and Interview will be conducted on the subsequent days (four days). 13. Medical Examination will be conducted at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM, Bangalore for those who are recommended by AFSBs after stage-II testing. 14. Candidates recommended by the AFSBs and declared medically fit will be detailed for training in order of All India Merit List depending on the number of vacancies available. 15. No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained during SSB interview as a result of test. 16. Onus of meeting eligibility criteria rests with the applicant. Merely undergoing CET/SSB testing would not constitute fulfillment of eligibility requirements. 17. 10% of the vacancies are reserved for NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate holders. TRAINING: 18. Training is scheduled to commence in the month of Jul 2010. 19. Candidates will be detailed to undergo training of 52 weeks at Air Force Academy, Hyderabad. The training will include physical training, general service orientation, academic and professional subjects. On completion of training they would be granted Permanent Commission/Short Service Commission (as applicable) in the rank of Flying Officer. IAF OFFERS YOU: 20. Pay and Allowances:- Flying Officers will be entitled to the pay bank of Rs. 15,600-39,100 per month with Grade Pay. Selection process:

For the post of Accounts Assistant, the selection methodology will comprise three-stage process – Written Test (two papers), Personal Interview followed by Medical examination in Cee-one category.

For the post of Customer Relations Assistant (CRA), the selection methodology will comprise four-stage process – Written Test (two papers), Psycho Test & Personal Interview followed by Medical examination in Aye-one category.

For the post of Maintainer, the selection methodology will comprise three-stage process – Written Test (one paper), Personal Interview followed by Medical examination in Bee-One category.

In case of PH candidates only, for post codes-01 & 04, we intend to call candidates in the range of 6 to 8 times the number of vacancies for Interview, after screening of their applications based on final marks obtained in the qualifying 3 years degree course examination. The list of candidates short listed (PH) for Interview will be displayed on DMRC’s website www.delhimetrorail.com , as well as separate call letters will also be issued to them, calling for Interview. The selection process would judge different facets of knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude and physical fitness. Candidates will have to pass through each stage successfully (including Medical examination), before being adjudged as suitable for selection. Candidates, who fail in the prescribed medical test, will not be given any alternative employment and decision of the Corporation is final on this issue. Written Test: For post codes 01, 02, 04 & 05, The written test will consist of two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II, to be held on the same day in the same centre). Paper-I will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions, with provision of negative marking for wrong answers, on General Awareness, English, Logical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and/or knowledge of the discipline/trade. The Paper-I shall be of 1.5 hours duration. Paper-II will consist of subjective type questions on Paragraph Writing, Comprehension, Essay and questions on Science & Technology matter, in English Medium to judge the candidate’s comprehension skills & test of English language. The Paper-II shall be of 1.5 hours duration. Candidates who qualify in Paper-I and rank high on the merit list within the zone of consideration, as decided by the DMRC, will only be evaluated for Paper-II. Successful candidates based on the Written Test (Both Paper-I & Paper-II put together) shall be called for Psycho Test/Personal Interview/Skill Test, at Delhi.

For post code 03, the written test will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions only, on General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English Language and specific ITI trade/ discipline of 1.5 hours duration with provision of negative marking for wrong answers. The candidates (for all category of posts) to be called for Psycho Test/Personal interview and Medical examination at Delhi shall be paid to & fro sleeper class Railway fare for journey by the shortest route between Railway Station nearest to hometown & Delhi. No reimbursement shall be made to the candidates appearing for the written examination. Character & Antecedents: The success in the examination does not confer any right to appointment unless the corporation is satisfied after such an inquiry, as may be considered necessary, that the candidate having regard to his/her character and antecedents is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service.

Surety Bond: The candidates selected for posts of Fire Inspector will have to execute a surety bond of Rs. 50,000/- & Cost of training (apprx.Rs.22,000/-) to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years and also a three months prior notice, will be required before seeking resignation from the corporation. The candidates selected for posts of Account Assistants, Maintainers, Store Assistants & Customer Relations Assistant will have to execute a surety bond of Rs. 40,000/- & Cost of training (apprx.Rs.15,000/-) to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years and also a three months prior notice, will be required before seeking resignation from the corporation. Training & Probation: The selected candidates on appointment will be on Probation for a period of two years (including period of training), where they will undergo intensive training for prescribed duration. The Corporation has the right to enhance or reduce the training period at its discretion for any or all the trainees. During the probation period the candidates shall be required to pass various examinations.

The service of the candidate during probation period can be terminated by the corporation if the performance of candidate is found to be unsatisfactory, in accordance with the terms & conditions of offer of appointment. Pay & Emoluments: The pay & emoluments for direct recruits shall be as per pay scales under the IDA (Industrial DA) pattern, plus DP, Dearness Allowance as applicable from time to time and other benefits which include CCA, HRA, Medical benefit, EPF, Gratuity, and Insurance etc. as per extant rules of the Corporation. Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has been empowered to specify the qualification criteria and procedures for the certification of Energy Managers and qualifications for Accredited Energy Auditors. As the UGC has revised the guidelines as well as nomenclature regarding Minimum Qualifications and Experience for faculty positions, the applications received with reference to earlier advertisement will not be entertained.
