Three frinds take a few rasgullah with them. They take rest and sleep. One of them wakes up and feels hungry. He divides Rasgullah in three parts. He eats away one part out of these three parts and gives one Rasgullah to the servant. He slept again. After sometime, the second person got up and divided rasgullah in three parts and ate one part and gave one piece to Servant. Similarly, the third also did. Next day, they all took the entire rasgullah and again divided them in three parts took one part each and gave one piece to servant. What is the minimum no. of Rasgullah that they had? 82 / 79 / 55 / 61 ?

Answer: If we take minimum 1 rasgullah with each one of

them at the end, the solution is like this : last round = (3+1)= 4, 2nd last round: (2*3) +1 = 7 , 3rd last round: calculation is not possible – as the number is 7 – which gives 3.5 for one – which is not possible. Similarly, if we try for 2,3.4 etc. if we try from options, let us take 79. The no. of Rasgullah left after 1st round are : (79-1)2/3 =52. Rasgullah left after 2nd round are : (52-1)*2/3 =34. Rasgullah left after 3rd round are: (34-1)2/3 =22. Rasgullah distributed in last rounds are : 1 piece to servant and 7 each to all the friends. Thus all calculations are possible only in 79 and this is the answer. www.afterschoool.tk
