There are 2 consecutive natural numbers, whose product is equal to the product of 3 consecutive natural numbers. How many such pairs are possible?  (solve by hit and trial)  There

are 2 such pairs:  2*3 =6  1*2*3 = 6  So first such pair is 6  14*15 = 210  5*6*7 =210  Thus the 2 numbers are 6 & 210 www.afterschoool.tk

ABCABC represent a six digit number and C is an even digit. Is this number divisible by 14?

 Yes,  In

order to be divisible by 14, the number must be divisible by 7 &2. For any number of 6 digit, if the total of first 3 and last 3 is equal, it is divisible by 7 (rule).  Any number which ends in even number is divisible by 2. thus this number is divisible by 14. www.afterschoool.tk

ABABABABABAB represent a 12 digit number. Is it divisible by 11?

 Yes,

 Difference

between totals of alternate digits should be 0 or 11 or in multiple of 11 to be divisible by 11. thus this number is divisible by 11.

A,B,C want to play football. If A plays football, then B & C play same. If B plays football, then A & C don’t play the same sport. If C plays cricket, then A & b play same sport. Who among them always plays football / cricket ? 

  

If A plays football, B & C also play football – that is not possible – because if B plays football – A & C both cant play football (condition no. 2). – thus this condition is invalid. If B plays football, A plays Cricket and C plays football (other option is invalid). If C plays cricket, A & B both play cricket. Thus in any case A plays Cricket always. B www.afterschoool.tk & C play both football and cricket.
